Although this hotel looks quite smart, there are in my opinion several drawbacks. There are no tea/coffee making facilities, even though it is advertised. This is only if you take a Junior suite! There is no Wi Fi in the rooms. The pillow is a...More

Two nights in a superior suite room, one night in a standard room - there is a vast difference between the two rooms which is probably reflected in the mixed Trip Advisor reports. We loved the Superior room which had everything we wanted. What you...More
Having booked a cruise leaving Barcelona on 11th August 2012 we decided to spend the previous day in Barcelona seeing the city for the first time. Our travel agent booked us into this hotel saying that it would be near the port. In the event...More
Quite big rooms, clean, quiet and comfortable. No wi-fi service in the rooms: you can only connect PC via ethernet cable or stay in the common lounge where the wi-fi service works; so no way to connect a tablet by the rooms :(
We stayed here for 3 nights to see as much as we could of Barcelona. Perfect location for all sites. 5 min walk to beach, 10 min walk to mini rambla and around the corner from lots of shopping. Highly recommend the hop on hop...More

The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of
activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centres catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.

There is no airport shuttle service, we paid for a 3 day underground pass which was well worth it. But it is about a 15 minute walk to the hotel a bit of a haul if you have got a lot of baggage, hope this helps

For a relaxing drink just come out of the door turn left and about 50 yards away are about 5 bars/restaurants in a row. Food is decent and a selection of drinks. For partying I would suggest getting taxis into town as they are pretty cheap. You can take the metro at Poblenou but probably a 6-10 minute walk depending how fast you walk. Was there for Primavers Sound Festival so no idea whay the nightlife is like in central Barcelona I'm afraid.
