Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great hotel and good location! Was super easy to get to from the A1/A2 buses. And easy to access online tours and other areas of the city. The hotel is also very nice and spacious. Uses a lot of scent in the air which is a little odd but very comfortable. Got a junior suite and nice places to sit and relax. Breakfast also very good and filling. Electric Kettle in the room - bonus! Along with a fridge. Very nice front desk folks.

The public spaces in this hotel are beautiful, useful and comfortable. The breakfast room is massive, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating at tables and comfy sofas. There's a massive terrace with both covered and uncovered chairs, sofas and lounges. Iced water and coffee machine are always available on the terrace and in the breakfast room. Off the breakfast room is a lovely little library with comfy couches and chairs. The breakfast is very generous and very delicious. Like so many hotels these days the coffee comes from a machine, but it was tasty. Multiple juices, yogurts, breads, cheeses, meats, cake, crepes, pan con tomate, fresh fruit, toast, muffins, pastries - this breakfast buffet has it all! Our room was a good size with a very comfortable bed and linens. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and decent size, with a large shower with plenty of hot water and water pressure. Ask for a room with an exterior view.

Our second visit to Hotel Granvia, and we were once again very happy with the room, breakfast, location and service. Will definitely be returning. The rear courtyard is an oasis of calm, where you can relax after a days sightseeing or shopping.

The room was very comfortable and very clean but quite small. The booking photos was also different on the actual room. I have chosen a room with breakfast but when I confirm via email it was not included on my booking

Stayed 4 nights in a Superior room on 3rd floor overlooking the main road. We loved the hotel decor, terrace and library room. As other reviewers have said, the hotel is ideally located with the metro (L2/L4) nearby, the train station (Passeig de Gràcia) to and from the airport and the Plaça de Catalunya where the City Tour Buses depart, are both a short walk away. Also nearby are two Anton Gaudí buildings and Ciutat Comtal, probably one of the best tapas bars in Barcelona. Breakfast is a mix of hot and cold, if we had one niggle it would be that the coffee machine doesn't make great coffee. That said, you can use the machine throughout the day. In summary, lovely hotel, helpful staff, great location would definitely stay again. Tip of the day, use the Lidl next door to hotel for bottled water, drinks and snacks, and get a Hola Barcelona Travel Card.

From the time I stepped into this Hotel the experience was fantastic, the lovely aroma in reception was very welcoming and so was the staff on reception. The room is clean and has everything you need, my only issue is sitting on the toilet is very cramped. Breakfast has everything you could want and the Hotel has a lovely vibe. From the pictures on the walls to the decor it is a lovely and relaxing place to be.

Large rooms, high ceilings, elegant decoration. Rooms facing Gran Via get noise from street traffic. Not for light sleepers. Rooms in back of hotel looking over the terrace are quiet. Only issue is the noise of flushing water in pipes when neighboring guests turn on and off water in bathroom (e.g. sink, shower). Very loud to the point that it would wake me up in morning. We reported this and reception confirmed other guests complained but they could not solve it yet. Other issue is smell of cooked food that sometimes came in from vents and when we opened the windows (on back side). Nice and comfortable library where you can work. Spacious breakfast room with sufficient food variety; pity for the coffee: only one Nestlè commercial coffee machine, long waiting time and whatever you chose (cappuccino, americano, espresso, etc.) looked and tasted the same and was not good. Please change it. Personnel proactive and helpful, always with a smile.

The hotel is absolutely perfect for a stay right in the middle of the city. The hotel is beautiful. The staff were all lovely and even helped me with translations. We definitely enjoyed our Superior rooms overlooking either Granvia and the terrace. Beds were comfortable and room has a lot of space. Aside from the wonderful breakfast, we also enjoyed their sitting rooms. The place is just beautiful. Will definitely return here.

The service is so rude even not considering with guest! The waiter has no regard for the customer's feelings. You have to wait a long time to check in. Breakfast is closed very early. And the bath is not so good. The Bathtub clogged. I don’t recommend at all.

The hotel is coquette and very welcoming, with great staff! It was very clean and the location was unbelievably amazing. There were lots of transportation options nearby, including many luxury shops and supermarkets. It was basically in the heart of Barcelona!
