The hotel cannot be beaten for its location as it is very central and in a quiet location The problem is the noise from the rooms next to you the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything including coughing and bed creaks. My advice would be to bring ear defenders as if you are a light sleeper you...

Why I selected that hotel? Place. One minute to Catalunya square. One minute to Spare supermarket on nearest street. Price. Very attractive price. Buffet on morning good enough for any taste. Good service stuff.

I had been told about this festival by a friend, so decided to go this year to see for myself. By chance I booked the Hotel Cortes, which turned out to be great. A small hotel, not as fashionable as some, but room was lovely and clean, welcome pack in the room, which was a lovely touch. The price also...

The location really makes this hotel. It's a couple of minutes' walk from Catalunya metro and La Rambla. The hotel was very clean and felt like it had been recently refurbished. We stayed in room 101 which was small but big enough. The shower was super, very powerful and would go as hot/cold as you could bear. The walls were...

Stayed for four nights, the room was clean, large and basic. The rooms at the front of the hotel (where mine was) face a shopping/cafe street and can be a bit noisy during the day and evening, didn't bother me and I had no problem sleeping. Great complimentary breakfast included - best coffee I've had in Spain. Would stay again.

Close to Las Ramblas and hop on hop off bus routes. Friendly staff and an included breakfast a real bonus, would stay again. Plenty of small cafes for a quick meal. Some shuttle bus services drop you a block or so away but still an easy walk.

Very friendly staff, lovely clean room and the bathroom was bigger than most hotels. We arrived at 2:30am and checked out at 12pm for a stop over. Would recommend although not many places to park that don't cost at least €20-30. There is a coffee shop across the road and many other stores close by, the cathedral is only a...

If you are going to Barcelona, you need to get a central location and you won't get much better than Hotel Cortes. Just off Las Rambla, the main street in Barcelona, just down from Plaza Cataluna the main transport hub and where the bus from the airport drops off, and at the top of the Gothic Quarter where tiny shops,...

Stayed for 1 night in Barcelona, hotel ideally located in city centre close to placa de catalunya where all modes of transport go from and just a short walk down to the cathedral and the beautiful buildings in the gothic quarter. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean. There was only 1 towel provided (twin room for...
