Stayed here as part of a tour whilst in Barcelona. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I arrived early, expecting to have to leave my bags and come back, but only after 10mins I was able to check in as they had a room ready for me. The room was nice, but lacking small things like soaps, ear buds, etc. They do supply soap pumps, etc on the walls, but seldom find them useful. I have read past reviews about problems with air-conditioning, & whilst I agree it could be better, it's certainly not enough to turn me off this hotel. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good with plenty of choice & the coffee was one of the best I've had out of a machine. There is a 24/7 bottle shop across the road which is handy & the Hotel is easily walkable to Las Ramblas & many other attractions... highly recommended

The hotel has an excellent location in Example, with the Passeig de Gracia station around the corner. The room was comfortable and with blackout curtains for a great sleep. There is a jamon bar attached to the hotel, but no other lounge or common area, so it’s not very social. It seems to cater to large organized tour groups who would often fill the lobby and elevators. The people in the room next door were constantly blasting music and yelling, and the walls are thin, so it was quite unpleasant.

Quite surprised at how high other people rate this, we were very underwhelmed. The reception area was quite shabby and the rooms had no coffee machine or kettle and the hotel offered nowhere to get coffee. The beds were incredibly hard and the pillows very uncomfortable. The WiFi was really patchy and frequently didn’t work. One of our main reasons for going to a hotel was the bar but this was closed which wasn’t clear when we booked. Walls paper thin so you can hear everything. On the positive side, the location was great and the staff helpful. Also supplied soap and shampoo etc.

This hotel claims to have air conditioning. BEWARE: It does not!

We arrived in mid April and it was unseasonably cool. The room was facing south with full sun against the window. My partner asked me to activate the aircon to cool the room and it blew warm air instead. When I asked the room maid for help she directed me to the front desk. When I rang the front desk they said that the temp is set for all rooms and I would not be able to change it. The rooms are climate controlled centrally and cannot be individually adjusted. So in winter, the temp is set to warm etc. This day was warm and activating the fan ( the only adjustment) blew warm air. When I asked the receptionist, she said "OPEN A WINDOW" (!!!) Not what you'd expect from a 4 star hotel. I insisted we be moved to a northern facing room which was much cooler, but this should have been offered first.

The other receptionists were most helpful when dealing with requests or issues.

The breakfast room staff were excellent and tried hard.

We arrived early and we able to check in.

One morning, the water was cut off ( due to street maintenance) and no water available for the entire hotel. The only notice was placed in the elevators, so if you used the stairs, you wouldn't know. Unprofessional!

Bathroom had damaged tiles with sharp dangerous edges exposed.

Hand sanitising stations were sometimes left empty.

Overall, a disappointment, but sadly, this hotel could be much more if the management took notice of comments and fixed a few defects. It seems that they dont really care.

Good location, small rooms, the shower tap was not directing water to shower head, the balcony door was not closing properly and its lock was broken. Very poor maintanence of the old hotel in general and the price (300€/ night) is high for this quality. The next hotel is under renovation, the noise of construction is disturbing during work hours.

It’s really in a great position between Rambla and passeo de gracia very close metro station, casa Batllo and plaza de Cataluna.
The staff is very kind and professional and the room are large and clean.
Very good breakfast.
The only thing to improuve is rooms sound proofing from inside and outside.
Anyway I’ll choose this hotel again. Recomanded.

We stayed for one night because our flight home was canceled.
They gave us a basic room but it was awful. Very small, dark and it smelled bad. The bed was so smalll, not suitable for 2 people and so uncomfortable we hardly slept at night.
The bathroom was in very bad condition with cracked wash basin and no amenities.

We stayed here two nights, booked into this hotel by others. Our room was comfortable and it and the bathroom were very clean. No view, though that didn't matter as we were only there for the evening. Good breakfast choice, friendly staff. The location is excellent, just off the Passeig de Gracia and close to the Plaza de Catalunya and La Rambla.

This hotel is in a great location for exploring Barcelona. It’s much better inside than it looks in the outside. The rooms and bathrooms were quite spacious and clean. There was a fridge but no tea or coffee facilities.
Breakfast was good with a good assortment and reception staff were very helpful. Very close to Casa Batllo .

No AIR CONDITIONER although it is listed as an amenity. I inquired at the front desk because the room was hot, they offered a fan! Really?! On a 4 star hotel?! Nothing was done to follow up. We decided to open the windows but it was very noisy as our rooms view was street view.

Answer from Rrahal

I am not confident that a wheel chair will fit in the lift. May not be able to ise the ordinary rooms. Please check with the hotwl . Maybe they have special rooms. The best thing about this hotel is almost central. It is a walking distance from main city attractions
