I came across Casa Gracia by accident, looking for a place to stay for a few nights in Barcelona while I was visiting the city on a business trip. Found myself spending every evening at their delicious restaurant, enjoying almost minute of my stay. The place is beautiful, the service was professional yet non formal (just the way it should...

This hostel exceeded our expectations for a budget hostel stay. It's well located in a nice neighbourhood that's close to the Gaudi buildings, metro, shops and restaurants. The hostel is tastefully decorated and it has a quaint reception area, vintage lift, a large common area to hang out or have a self-prepped meal. I like the hostel because the room...

They have expanded in all ways since my last visit - more rooms and staff, a bar and restaurant and higher prices. It's still a great spot, though, in a nice neighborhood with a good vibe. Breakfast is an additional 7 euros but is pretty good.

This is a charming old house converted into hostel. Great place, clean bedrooms, nice and well tought-design common spaces. It gives you independence and comfort. Barcelona its a wonderful city and Casa Gracia make the experience complete. Wifi all over. Just few plugs in the bedrooms. C.G. has a great location, near everything 20min walk to La Sagrada Familia, and...

We were treated so well at this hostel, everyone happily answered our many questions and recommended great restaurants and places to see. The room was comfortable and warm (we went in winter) and very clean and beautiful. The breakfast, main lobby, and bar, were shockingly beautiful and awesome. The décor is beautiful, the staff is so fun to talk to....

My sister & I booked based on the location & that it was a good price! We got a twin room that is very small & no view (windows opened to a gutter).... But the free coffee, free walking tours, free yoga & convenient location to the bus stop & metro were a great bonus! Would book there again!

I booked this hostel on the basis that it had "free WiFi" in the room. A quick check shows signal strength typically 0.1Mbps. I could get a faster connection using my phone and the 3G connection. Only in parts of the communal area is the WiFi connection good enough to Skype or stream Netflix and even here it is intermittent....

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
