We came to stay at Rivoli due to issues with reservations at another location, the staff went completely out of their way to accommodate us with storage of luggage, getting the room made up early and just being wonderful to any of our needs. The hotel is absolutely right on the Rambla which allowed us to be "in the action"...

Excellent to arrive from Airport by train (one change) to Plaza de Catalunia and then 200 meters to walk to the hotel on Rambla. Bus arrives directly from Airport to Plaza de Catalunia (my colleagues told). Everything is near - 10 minutes to walk to the sea-side, Casa Batllo of Gaudi 15 min walking ... old town is just behind...

We spent three days in Barcelona and stayed at the Rivoli Ramblas. We had a room facing the Ramblas but it was very quiet when the shades were drawn. This hotel is in a fabulous location, convenient to everything. I think there was a pool on the roof but we didn't check it out.

Spent 3 nights in this hotel which is in a fantastic location right on La Rambla and 5 mins walk from Placa Catalunya where the airport Aerobus arrives. We booked a superior room which was spacious, clean with a small bathroom and a terrific shower over the bath. There was a safe in the room at an extra charge of...

We stayed 2 nights in the hotel. It is in good location, in the middle of the Rambla and close to the shopping area. Average rooms with well-equipped bathrooms. Front desk staff is friendly and very helpful. The buffet breakfast is very assorted. We had no problems during our stay and we highly recommend this hotel.

Like other fellow travellers, we agree concerning the good location of the hotel. When it comes to choose the right room, you're in principal offered 2 possibilities, noisy at the Rambla side, quite for the rest. Our room was noisy though situated on the rear. The 'view' consisted of some awful tubes and a concrete wall. Nothing to be amazed...

Stayed for two days in Barcelona after cruise. Traveled with a friend who has stayed in Barcelona several times at other hotels and was told not to expect much. He was wrong about this one. This was a very good hotel, just short of a great place to stay. Arriving early, we were able to keep our bags in locked...

Very good hotel, beautiful room and very helpful, friendly staff. We ate in the hotel restaurant on our first evening, the food was very good and plentiful. Our room looked over Las Ramblas, the first night we made the mistake of keeping the window open, it seems no-one sleeps in Barcelona, no problem on the subsequent nights, good air-con and...

Just returned from a four day break in Barcelona. The hotel was in a perfect place for shops, restaurants and sightseeing bus. Hotel was very clean, staff very polite and helpful. We stayed at the back of the hotel which was quiet in the late evenings but I would imagine given the location smack in the middle of the Ramblas...

This hotel has a perfect location at the Rambla in Barcelona and the rooms are okay. BUT you have to know about the very bad experience I encountered in this hotel during my stay. During our weekend in this hotel, some people entered our room during our absence and forced their entry into my luggage to look for valuables, cash...

Staying in La Rambla

Neighbourhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetising selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
