We recently stayed for a week at La Casa Gran and feel like it is one of our homes. We were recommended to contact La Casa Gran when another B & B we emailed was fully booked. So glad of the recommendation. The hostess, Montse, would be one of the sweetest and most caring ladies we have ever met. She...

I loved staying here so much that I returned a second time prior to returning home. I can't say enough about how much I love Montse and La Casa Gran. For my second visit, Montse provided excellent suggestions and I fell in love with Barcelona all over again. I am hoping to go back soon and I miss being there...

Great guest house. We stayed for 3 nights and loved it. Lovely atmospheric building, Montse looked after us well. Good location, very near Diagonal tube stop. 3 friendly Mad dogs. We plan to stay again in the future.

The small guest house provides a great location to visit Barcelona. Montes is a wonderful host and she tries hard to make your visit to Barcelona a good one. Clean and well run. Sometimes noisy due to street noise. The dogs are a welcome addition for some--but if you don't like dogs, be ware.

You can't beat the location. It's right in the middle of an up-scale shopping and business district. There are lots of nice restaurants and tapas bars close by. It's a 6 block walk to the metro, but not too far. The breakfast is good, but not fancy, and there is an espresso machine for you to use anytime. There is...

Our stay at La Case Gran was just perfect. There was nothing i can say that could be better. We stayed for 3 nights, and everyday the bed was made and our towels where renewed. Our room ( the room with 1 balcony and privat bathroom ) was verry clean and spacious. The breakfast was simple but tasty and delicious,...

My husband and I stayed at La Casa Gran at the end of August for three nights. I can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay in this beautiful and warm B&B. Montse is amazing, who is always willing to give great advice about the area and general sight seeing recommendations. She is extremely friendly and welcoming. My husband...

I believe my husband and I were one of the first guests of the new La Casa Gran, having stayed three nights in early April this year. It was our first trip to Barcelona, and our first time staying at a B&B abroad, so naturally, our hopes were set pretty high. La Casa Gran did not disappoint. The apartment is...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
