A group of us stayed here for 3 nights in four rooms. Two on the 1st floor & two on the 6th floor. The metro appears to run directly under the hotel which causes some disturbance, although it doesn't run between midnight & 6am, Monday to Thursday. The stay on the 6th floor was excellent. The breakfast buffet was a...

Great hotel. Really really nice staff always willing to help with directions and places to visit. 10 minutes walk from Passeig de Gracià, near excellent restaurants, coffee shops and also near the hop on hop off bus. Upgrade the room for 12 euros a night! Excellent hotel!

My wife and I stayed here during our 3 day Barcelona trip. We had had issues with perfume being sprayed in all our rooms in Spain (which gives my wife a 24 hr headache) but the staff we able to accommodate us by not using perfume in our rooms. A simple thing but really made this stay more pleasant than...

I travel to Spain several times a year, but it has been almost 50 years since I last visited Barcelona. Room Mate Emma was recomended by friends who had stayed at the hotel a few weeks before. I was travelling with my daughter and her friend. We booked two double rooms and on arrival we were upgraded to two superior...

The hotel is reasonably well located. many important tourist places are walkable distance away and the metro stations too are close. However the rooms are small and basic in facilities. the rooms are also a little over-priced. I was informed on check-in that my breakfast was included - I confirmed the same on my first morning and then on check-out,...

Hotel Room Mate Emma - is a well priced hotel, modern with some very nice touches (like chilled ambient music on in the room when you arrive) It is located just outside the center which helps with the price, so it's usually about a 20mins walk to the middle of all the activity, so at night the hotel is quiet...

My wife, son and I stayed for three nights during what was a very hot/muggy week in August. We selected this hotel as it was a two-minute walk to a Metro stop (Diagonal), and with a five-month old baby - and associated paraphernalia - in tow, it was easy to see why this hotel was an obvious option! The reviews...

I would absolutely recommend this hotel for a couples stay - me and my partner stayed here last weekend and upgraded to a deluxe room for a small fee (10 euros), the whole hotel was spotlessly clean and slick. The room was excellent and comfortable, the shower was huge! Location was great and Barcelona is well worth a visit!

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
