Despite being somewhat older than their normal clientele, we were warmly welcomed by staff and guests. We had booked a room with private facilities, which were more than adequate for our needs. The beds weren't the most comfortable but they didn't prevent us from sleeping....More
Mambo - ideal place for one night stay: close to all (metro, railway station, port, . . .)
Personnel: good responsive. Even have received the gift: bootle of cava. If You need to go to port: take a shuttle from near the Columbus monument.
A very clean and cozy hostel with helpful staff who treated you like friends. After the receptionist knew that we were planning to visit la Sagrada Familia, she assisted us to buy online ticket and explained us how to travel there. The bathroom was super...More
This hostel is close to everything - we walked around every day.
The reception were incredibly nice and welcoming and made our stay easy.

The location of the hostel is great, walking distance to the La Ramblas but also a 2 minute walk to the metro station (which you can use with €1 rides with the T10 metro card). The room and bathrooms were very clean. The common area...More

Hi Gary- I can't remember how long it took to get to the hostel but it wasn't too far, we got 2 seperate trains which I think is pretty common with barcaleona cos their metro is crazy compared to Glasgows simple circle! At the airport head for the metro, depending on what terminal you're at i think you'll have to walk over a sort of bridge/walkway to get to it. From there you can't go wrong as it's a simple one way system - one train leaving the airport and the other coming in to the airport. At the airport metro buy a multi journey ticket as it will save you money in the coming days! I think it's like €10 or something can't mind how many journeys but at the end of our long weekend we hadn't used them all up! So that line is the grey line, stay on that til you get to Sants station then get off and jump on the green line and get off at paral-lel. The hostel is less than 5minutes walk from there! If you're going alone the hostel is a great choice :) they will offer to make dinner for you and take you out on tours and pub crawls haha. Have fun!
