Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Spent a night here, very central location only couple of minutes walk from the cathedral and central valladolid. Nice room (double ensuite) and a good cafe bar too, staff very friendly. Street parking available outside (metered).

clean place
I had no luck with the room. The window didn't close properly, it got very cold and the heating didn't work.
When I told the receptionist the next day, she didn't even flinch. She continued looking at the computer, pretending she didn't hear me, nor did she even apologize.
He also didn't say anything when handing over the keys (thank you, come back another day, have a good trip, etc.)
Adjust the closure of the bathroom, because it slams and one of the toilet doors does not have a closing latch

My daughter found this place using the internet. Ignore the strange name. This is not a hostel. It is a really lovely hotel. There is free wi-fi. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The breakfast is Mediterranean - Coffee, Orange Juice, Toast, Marmalade and beautiful soft Croissants. Enough to set you up for the day. It only opened in July so the place is spotless. Not noisy either. There is a nice Bar/Snack Bar which is cheaper than the local bars. It is centrally placed and most attractions are walkable. A thoroughly enjoyable break in a lovely hotel.

We just spent two days/nights at the Book Factory Hostel and could not have been happier. We were a bit worried about the “hostel” in the name, despite all the good reviews, but this is actually a very nice little boutique hotel, very modern and comfortable, with a bit of a hipster vibe. (They do seem to have a dorm room as well, to accommodate pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago.) The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The location is great, very close to the cathedral and the university, and to several museums, and walking distance to about everything else. Lastly, the very cool attached cafe/bar is wonderful - for breakfast/lunch/dinner/coffee/drinks.

We would not hesitate to stay there again.

I stayed for one night at the Book Factory Hostal. The check-in was very helpful and friendly and the receptionist pointed out a few things very worth seeing showing the photos in a guide book which was then given to me.

The room was clean, modern and light with a double bed and a nice modern bathroom.

I had a nice breakfast in the restaurant, coffee shop and there was a good selection available which is made to order.

The Hostal is in a good location and makes for a good base in Valladolid.

I was travelling with friends and we stayed there for one night. The hostel is great and we really enjoyed our time there. The position is perfect, right in front of the City Cathedral in the centre of Valladolid. I recommend this hostel if you are planning to stay for a couple of nights in Valladolid.

Imagine my wife’s face when I told her I’d booked us in a hostel!

The price only confirmed her suspicions. But I had the last laugh. This was great.

The room had all we needed and was clean with good toiletries provided. Staff were friendly and we had a quiet night’s sleep.

The town itself is full of hidden gems.

Free parking 5 minutes away near the university is a bonus as almost the whole central part of the city i "blue" (pay).
Must be a fairly new hotel - or newly renovated - as it looks quite new. Very patient and helpful front desk staff. Room were surprisingly big. Only little minus as a moldy smell on the bathroom. After the shower I would see that the shower cabin is not tight, why waters runs out on the floor. This could be the reason for the smell....
Breakfast is very basic and very cheap.
I would come again....
