Stayed 3 nights at the Melia Recoletos while on a recent visit to Valladolid for Santa Semana and found the hotel to be pretty good , staff were friendly , it's in a great location , walking distance to everything but the rooms are old fashioned and in need of updating.

The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the Renfe station and everything is nearby. Allocated room on the 4th floor facing the back courtyard so it was very quiet. The room was a good size, bed was a tad soft and small but the bedding was crisp and clean. As mentioned in other reviews, the A/C and heating does not seem to work but the windows open so you have some fresh air, not sure what it would be like in the summer heat.

Bathroom was as you would expect, large tub/overhead shower and plenty of space. Soap and shampoo dispensers fixed to the wall ( bring back soap bars )
There was a lot of wardrobe space for your clothes and room for your luggage. There is also a small selection of items in the mini bar and kettle to make tea / coffee if you so wish !

Breakfast was not included in my rate but there are several breakfast spots right next door including Sesentta among others . Do ask and enjoy your welcome glass of sparkling wine which was laid out by reception as well as some sweets , fruit and complimentary water. The bar stays open until 11.30 / midnight so you can have a drink before or after your dinner and enjoy the tranquility of the courtyard .

It's a very short walk to Plaza Mayor and all the shops, bars , restaurants and sights. Wifi was easy to connect to and worked very well , the front desk were happy to help with any directions you needed and the tourist office is nearly directly opposite by the fountain and the Campo Grande park. Valladolid was a lovely city and definitely worth a visit if you are considering it.

Stayed three nights in a top floor room (515) on a business trip. A modern and comfortable room with no view.

Still being in the winter season the room was very hot but easily rectified by opening the window.

The bathroom was large with large bath tub and bidet and bright with cream tiles. The positioning of the liquid soap dispensers was not ideal for access when sitting in the bath.

The room had a light coloured wooden floor and was spacious with a writing desk and chair. Also useful was the kettle for making teas and coffees.

On the first morning there was a large queue for breakfast but the room was opened out from day two onwards. The breakfast is simple but adequate and there is very good coffee from the machine.

This is a modern hotel in an older building overlooking the park and about ten minutes walk from Plaza Mayor.

The hotel is ideal for a short break in Valladolid and I would use it again.

We enjoyed this very classy hotel very much which was just used for Room Only. Sadly due to Covid cautions, it lacked 'atmosphere'. The room was large, clean and very comfortable and with very good facilities. The view from the room overlooked the main park but we were so high up we saw only the tops of the trees. No problem though. Car parking is limited and 19 euros per day. Seems expensive but was worth it on reflection. There are many restaurants and cafes within minutes of the hotel doors that are worth attending. The hotel is very close to the Town centre and other attractions.
Very recommendable and only a couple of hours drive to Santander for the ferry.
We would certainly return here.

The receptionist was delightful and extremely helpful. We felt immediately welcome in this hotel. The bar man was also welcoming, and the bar and outside area was very pleasant. Our room in this splendid hotel was spacious with tasteful furniture, beautiful wallpaper and elegant pictures of dancers framed on the walls. Our room was impressive, the bathroom was bigger than some bedrooms we had encountered so far in the journey and the bedroom was spacious, clean and comfortable with a really accommodating writing desk and armchairs to relax in. The bathroom had the largest bath towels so far provided. The furniture throughout the hotel was matching in design and had style.
The hotel had strikingly good lifts and spacious gathering places. Right outside the main door was a boulevard with plane trees and across from it a large park with numerous tame squirrels and an aviary of assorted colourful caged birds ranging from chickens to budgerigars. There were many places to eat nearby.
Breakfast was good. In our journey from England to Portugal this was definitely the best value for money hotel we encountered.
The entrance to the underground carpark is daunting at first but easier to get out of than it feels to get in. We hope one day to return.

This is a beautiful hotel located in a classical building constructed probably a century ago. The hotel has all the comfort of a modern hotel and that touch of the old buildings. It has a beautiful central staircase and you may consider giving it a try, even if only to the 1st floor.
It is in an excellent location, a few minutes walk to the train station and no more than 10 minutes walk to the city center.
Very pleasant staff. The room was spacious, elegant, with a very comfortable bed and two balconies facing the beautiful park "Campo Grande". These are called 'room with a view". The others face an interior courtyard. It was a quiet room, even when I opened the balcony.
The staff was pleasant and friendly. I did not use the bar or restaurant. I was surprise to see a good number of places to eat, American style (from hamburgers to fried chicken) within 100 meters from the hotel, not that I went to any.
I will comeback to this hotel with no hesitation

My spouse and I very much enjoyed our stay at this handsome renovated hotel just across the street from the beautiful Campo Grande park. Our room was spacious, clean, quiet, and with lovely balcony views. It is also a short walk to a few of Valladolid's highlights, including the atmospheric Cervantes House Museum and the oft-seen picturesque Cavalry Academy and nearby fountain, which are illuminated at night. Not to mention some great restaurants and cafes. The professional staff also handle the breakfast buffet safely and efficiently, with guests signing up in advance for a time to avoid overcrowding. Would most certainly stay here again!

Really liked the location - So central to everything. The room was very nice and all the public spaces were clean and bright. I chose this hotel because, relative to other locations, it had the best on site parking... It was still a tight fit into the garage and the spaces were small BUT no elevator nor risk of damaging the rental car. I would definitely stay again.

This is our second time staying here and it was chosen for the location. Five min walk to train station or to Plaza Mayor so great location. Bathrooms are clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Water pressure is bad. Carpets in hallways and rooms are extremely worn and dirty. Wallpaper and walls are way over due for a refresh. Rooms are huge but smart tvs don’t let you mirror your devices. Website says there’s self serve laundry on-site but there is not. Breakfast buffet is good and plentiful for the price. This could be a great hotel but it is in serious need of a renovation. Would love to stay here again but will wait until after it had been renovated.
