Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel does not respond to the quality that the Barceló chain has accustomed us to.
We were in a suite, the terrace was very large but very neglected. The room was not similar in size or quality to those of other Barcelós (I know a few), the bed was 1.50, the smallest of all the Barcelós we stayed in. Not a measly coffee maker or kettle or anything in the room. The breakfast was good, varied and rich. The "Premium" detail for being My Barceló Intense, well, very poor, the ones they gave me were better when it was not Intense.
The staff, in general, quite unpleasant.
The parking was very expensive and had very small spaces, and it also smelled very bad.
Honestly, I don't think it deserves 5 stars.

It is the 2nd time that I have stayed at the establishment, I find its location and services comfortable although, until now, on both occasions it has always been just passing through and for a single night. This time I found the room they assigned me a little small, especially the bathroom. the personal is ver kind and helpful

A hotel of the Barceló chain that needs a small modernization of the common areas but that has correct and comfortable rooms. There is air conditioning and depending on the room can be a little labyrinth by the corridors it has. In the entrance hall there is a cafeteria and parking in the same hotel is entered through a back street. The parking is spacious and easy to access. The hotel is very well located, close to Campo Grande Park

Well located but the room is small, the light switches turn on while you sleep because they are at the height of the pillow and you hit the switch when you move in bed. We have stayed three nights and the towels have not been changed. The shampoo ran out on the first day and the cleaning people did not replenish it and gave us a bottle (more convenient than the sachets) but the used sachets stayed there. The service door hits the toilet in such a way that if you open the door with someone sitting there you will break their legs. In short: a hotel that is said to be four stars and that I do not recommend at all.

Let's see, I haven't spent the night at the hotel. If I frequent it regularly, the cafeteria, wonderfully attended by its staff. Here I want to present the experience I had a few days ago.
I went to reception as I have done on other occasions, since I have stayed at the hotel several times for personal reasons. But what we are going to do was go to reserve a room for a personal one and my surprise is that they tell me no, you cannot reserve a room there, you have to do it through a travel agency or online.
When I got home I tried to reserve it and I couldn't, since it was a gift that I wanted to give to someone and the system did not allow me to enter different information about the person who was going to occupy the room and the person who was paying.
Well, I called the Barceló offices to explain what I wanted to do, and a lady. Quite rude, she tells me that it can't be, that the name of the person who occupies the room has to match the name of the person paying. I try to explain to her that it is a gift that I want to give and she tells me: I haven't been clear about it. my explanation?? Do I have to repeat it again?
So I thanked him for his kindness and hung up.
It's a shame, this hotel has very recently been taken over by the Barceló chain, it is a long-established hotel in Valladolid and they have always had exquisite treatment with the clients and in two days that they have been in this chain, the changes are not not at all encouraging.
And if the policy of the Barceló Company here is to treat people like this, it won't occur to me to send anyone to that hotel and we are very travelers but from now on we will try to avoid the Barceló chain wherever we go

Hotel with a very good location. The cleaning is excellent and the beds very comfortable. Perhaps the furniture is not updated but the comfort of the room means that this detail cannot be overlooked. One of the best pillows I've ever tried.
They also let us have the parking until 3:00 p.m. once our stay was over. Thank you so much!!!

I think that booking through booking means that they give you rooms that are not the best, since the reservation was made more than two months ago. The room was on the third floor, to get there you had to take an elevator to the second floor, walk a long hallway and take another elevator. It took us half an hour to check in, for a double room. They made us pay at the entrance and upon arrival To the room, the trash can was with food remains, it had not been cleaned. For a 4* hotel, it leaves a lot to be desired. The room had a corrugated floor. Bathtub instead of shower tray. The shower was horrible, the tube was yellowish, and it had a dispenser that was good for everything, soap, shampoo and conditioner, and when you squeezed it nothing came out. In short, I would not repeat. Thank you.

Very old hotel, with lack of cleaning (in the closet and on the floor were hairs and dust specks), small rooms. The worst part, the room in the middle of July at 28.5 or, without air conditioning (it did not work), I called reception, and instead of giving me solution the receptionist just told me that I had to wait for the air to start and close the window, we literally took the problem off (all night we had in the room a temperature that did not drop below 27o), and we were not the only ones, generally people complained about the air. Breakfast was the only thing right. I'm not coming back.

The room was very small & outdated. The mattress cheap & nasty. It is supposed to be 4 star but the facilities were non existent, not even tea or coffee making facilities.
There was lamp sticking out of the headboard which is a daft place to put it.
The restaurant was closed but could eat mediocre food in the cafe/bar. Breakfast was a limited choice & the supposed hot food was cold.
For the cost of the room, & paying for the privilege to park we rate it 1 star.

I remember a well-kept Pension, impeccable cleanliness, with suitable bedding. What was not my disappointment when returning this summer, it is true that I had been there in 2016 and unfortunately, many things have changed!! Apparently, the Pension has since fallen into the fold of the Barcelo hotel chain and this could explain this.
The Inn is still just as well located in the centre of Valladolid, the parking is still as big and passable and there stops compliments, everything else is disappointing, the cleanliness in general leaves something to be desired and this from the entrance of the Inn, the rooms are all simple and offer the bare minimum. The bedding is just horrible, the springs are at the party!!! Unfortunately our room was very poorly soundproofed. In the end, the record is very disappointing. All this is far from the image I kept of this beautiful Inn where I had stayed with pleasure a few years ago. Too bad!
