Stayed enroute from and to Santander ferry.
Easy to find, nice and clean, friendly staff, secure parking, good value.
Ticked all of the boxes for a stopover on a long journey to and from Costa Tropical.

This was another pit stop on our drive to Portugal, and we were not disappointed . Clearly a new and modern hotel on the edge of the city it is off the beaten track and about 45 minutes walk to the city centre! We booked it to eat and sleep, and the bed was the best I've slept in ever!! Lovely large bright airy rooms with Windows that open as I'm not an air con fan! It missed a kettle to make tea though for us English !!
However, on check in the receptionist did not speak English but did her upmost to make herself clear with my very brief Spanish!! Parking is available at an extra cost under the hotel as this us a busy commercial area the cost is 8€ per night!
The let down for me was the restaurant, it never opened dispute being told it did at 8.30! So we ate in their cafeteria! You will need google translate for the menu, it us all in Spanish!! Thanks god the Internet was strong there, as it took us a while to work it out, and when we ordered the food it came quickly, efficiently and it was of good quality.
The bar was very cheap, a local pint and Coroner was €5 and the two meals were €21, so not expensive at all! The buffet breakfast was a bit basic not a lot of variety!
The only attraction in the area was McDonalds 2 minutes walk!
A very good, modern, clean hotel! Excellent value for money!

Due to a change in plan during my solo motorcycle tour, bad weather in Portugal, I needed a overnight stay without extra miles to Madrid. Excellent choice for that purpose, with easy access next morning to the main route out of town. Not good for sight seeing as located out of town on a development zone, only eatery nearby was Mc D. Difficulty locating hotel as new address not coming up onSat Nav so check before you go. Secure parking available at a cost but needed it for my pride and joy as didn't fancy leaving a new motorbike outside in the area.
No catering facilities available in hotel at weekends, so your on your own. Breakfast not much to shout about very limited choice. Hotel is only 2 years old and has excellent quality rooms, staff all helpful and have good language skills, which made up for my poor performance. Would not choose for a holiday base too far from anything in town.

It is a modern, clean, quiet and pleasant hotel. Its main bulwark is its staff, especially receptionists and waitresses in the dining room.

The less positive point is the menu of the day, which although they cook really well, you only have to choose 2 first and 2 second courses. And its price is not exactly economical 15,85€ (not counting drinks other than water or wine that if they are included, if you want a soft drink or beer, they charge you part)

To sum up a highly recommended hotel if you need it to be near the hospital or in the polygons of Argales or San Cristobal, to access the city center is well connected by all the bus lines that go to the hospital.

Very bad faces. They don't treat you well, in addition to being expensive. They complain about everything. What kind of customer service is this? More than one person has already told me that they have stopped going. With me another one. Despite being close to the hospital, there are more bars around with better service.

Horrible treatment to go with children. They caught our attention because my daughter was touching the wall and said that it was staining it and that children must be controlled. Sorry?? We wanted to speak up and they got cocky, when we asked for the complaint form they denied it with expletives.
It is an expensive place and they always make a bad face. We went because it was close but we are not coming back.

Tremendous smell of disinfectant in the restaurant
Can you imagine eating at home and your partner was very perfumed or had just cleaned the house and smelled like cleaning products? Well, that is the same experience that I have received for the 5th time at the Río Hortega restaurant. I have pointed this out to the staff on 2 occasions, but I see that they do not make the slightest effort to avoid it.
One cannot taste the dishes that are very well prepared because the entire atmosphere is invaded by that smell of cleaning products from the nearby bathroom.
I hope they change it as the hotel and staff are great.
