The restaurant is excellent. Food is really good, it is kind of Spanish/fusion style food. The menu is great just for 14€, or 12€ the express menu Monday through Friday. The terrace is also nice, specially during the summer and spring seasons.

The rooms were really good quality. On the other side, the breakfast was awful. There were flies sitting on the food and when I reported it, they didnt do anything about it. The oily eggs had run out, they didnt replace them despite waiting 40 mins. The variety of food was poor.

Also, at the point of check in, minimal information was given.

Dear Customer, We thank you for taking the time once again to inform us through this form of comments about your experience at the hotel. We are very sorry that your experience at the buffet was not what we are used to, since it is one of our strong points as many of our clients indicate and as always we take note of it with the idea of improving. All the information about the hotel services is on a large sign at the reception in front of the computers where you checked in and on the signs inside the elevators that you took to get to your room. If you had asked us something, we would have been happy to solve it for you. All the best, Hector Montes Director / G. Manager Hotel Silken Juan de Austria****

Modern and immaculate clean hotel on a beautiful boulevard.
The A-1 staff makes the difference; I must point out Ms. Grettel Valdivia’s professionalism and superior customer service at the Front Desk.

Do not miss the delicious breakfast.

Parking facility is a plus since the hotel is in a busy area.

Close to the Plaza de Toros but a longish walk from the town centre, this is an ultra-modern, clean and business-like hotel. Rooms are well-soundproofed from the bustle of the main shopping street outside and it does benefit from having its own pavement cafe from where the tourist-visitor can idle the day away people-watching. Plenty of restaurants nearby (try La Rosada) or you can tapas-crawl your way into downtown and take a well-earned taxi-ride back.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel in June 2013, we found it very suitable for all our needs. A great location with only a short walk to the interesting and historic Valladolid city centre. Everything about the hotel was excellent, the reception, the staff, the room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. the food and dining room was excellent with an interesting menu. We used this hotel for a four night stay to explore the countryside and visit the bodegas in the area. I would recommend this hotel for couples or families.

This hotel is just terrific. Attentive staff, very nice rooms, cleanliness everywhere, very nice breakfast buffet. The center of the city is just a 10-walk away. Shopping? Spain's biggest department store (El Corte Inglés) is right across the street. Melia Olid may be closer to the centre but that is also a problem as you have to put up with the noise from the street.
I strongly recommend this hotel.

Close to centre and within walking distance. Arriving by car it's a bit difficult to find and the parking sign is mostly obscured by a tree. Rooms are comfortable, breakfast excellent with a most competent chap on duty in dining room. Reception staff OK but could be a bit more friendly. Parking area completely secure but a bit tight to enter and park. Cost €11per day which I think was discounted for booking direct with Silken. There's a pay public parking area next door but I don't know how the price compares. At the time of our visit (late August 2019) the cafeteria and part of the reception area were being renovated and they looked a bit untidy. All in all it's a good to very good hotel.

We had booked this hotel without really reviewing it and we were very happy with it, the receptionist was very pleasant on our arrival. We got there early and decided to go in and see if our room was available, it was and when we got to the room they had left a bottle of wine as a gift (really nice touch). The bed was massive and really comfortable. The breakfast was good with plenty of choices. Great value overall. The location is on a nice boulevard which is peaceful through the night but only a 10 minute walk to get to some more lively spots.
