This is a very pleasant and comfortable hotel well located between the old heart of Valladolid and the train station - a short 5-7 minute walk. The only drawback with the location is the lack of eateries nearby. You really have to walk to the old quarter to eat unless, like me on my last night you can't be bothered with more walking so you eat at the hotel. The food at the hotel was perhaps unremarkable and as the sole diner, it lacked atmosphere.
However, room was comfortable and spacious with a very generous bathroom. The room and the hotel generally was very quiet and had excellent block out curtains, not that they are so necessary in Spain as it doesn't get light in September until 8 am and gets dark relatively early.

Every offering of the Gareus Hotel works beautifully. They advertise as a boutique place but the number of rooms are more on a medium size hotel, situation that provides a very pleasant sensation in terms of facilities and service. Location close to the main Valladolid’s tourist and dining places allows for walking distance for all needs. Accommodations and facilities are first class, and the the room’s sizes provides mobility freedom including any size of luggage. We would undoubtedly use the Gareus if returning to Valladolid.

This hotel, near the Ribera del Douro wine country, was perfect in every other way but one thing. Our extremely large room, a suite, was superb in every way with a price that was one-third the price of our hotel in San Sebastián. The location was central to everything with a nearby parkway that had many restaurants. The staff were wonderful and helpful. We particularly appreciate the daily breakfast option just off the lobby. The hotel parking, once found, was a nice safe and convenient option in the heart of a dense and lively city, One of Spain’s top wine regions was just 50 minutes away.

The only difficult thing about this hotel was the “no warning” nor any advanced information provided about the parking situation upon check in. There literally were no parking spaces within blocks of the hotel for a quick 15 min. check-in. We accidently parked in front of a private garage for ten minutes while the owner walked to the hotel to express her anger. There was no help by the hotel in advance of this obviously daily problem.

Once getting by this initial issue, we had a glorious stay!

We arrived very early since we had to drop off our rental car in the train station. There was a reserved parking space in front of the hotel to drop off our luggage and do the check in. This was great. We were able to return the car and start walking the city without having to drag the suitcases to the hotel.

We came back to the hotel at about 3:00pm. Our room was very nice. The decor was very pretty. There was enough space in the room and the bathroom to feel comfortable.

The hotel was very nice. The location not the best to be close to the center of town, but it worked for us since the next day we walked to the train station to take the train back to Madrid.

I enjoyed my two night stay here, the staff are amazing and the room was excellent, spacious and super comfortable. The pillows and beds are superb....the hotel is right in the centre of the city so perfect for accessing everything without driving.

We stayed one night on our way back to Santander. The reception staff were lovely - upgraded us to a superior room. Location great - easy walk to centre of town. Good shower and lovely bathroom. Everything perfect until it came to breakfast….. surly staff and rude service which put a bit of a dampener on the whole experience!

Rooms appear quite stylish but we're in reality quite basic. No tea/coffee/trouser press/etc, but the good linens were appreciated. Breakfast is in the bar area and again, the bench seating is at the wrong height for the tables making it an uncomfortable experience. The 'restaurant' may be good, but the Manager decided to close it to guests without warning. Service, they don't know the meaning of the word. At least we got a refund. Advice - avoid.

Just checked out from this hotel rather pissed off! It is indeed a new lovely hotel we have here, rooms are large and outstanding in terms of cleanliness and freshness.
However, service and behaviour of staff are rather poor. When we checked in yesterday we needed parking, so the lady said "of course there is" and gave instructions. Nobody mentioned fees.
Even though we came back at 4 am, we woke up and were ready to check out at 12.15 when they told us it was possible to leave. They called us at 12.14 asking if we were staying "one more day". So we went to the desk and we were told there was an extra charge for parking. This blonde lady, Cristina, when we said that nobody informed us, started to say that it was not her problem (!!!!) putting on faces and basically not even letting us explain that it is a duty of whoever at reception to inform every guests about fees. "We write it everywhere in the parking and on the reception desk" - it was a small square in the very corner, indicating that the price for one day parking was 16.50 euro.
What is the need for a front desk agent if all I have to do I read info in booking, on the reception desk and so forth? For a 4 star deluxe hotel service and attitude are ridiculously poor... Also, when we asked to speak with the manager she said: " he can't be reached at the moment".i am sure you will all agree that is not a matter of paying or not paying the parking, it is more a problem of how the staff here behaves with the guests of the hotel and how much they NOT CARE about them.
Not recommended, you an go to another hotel and pay the same amount for a better service

This boutique hotel is indeed beautiful, lobby and rooms, and service was very good (information about semana santa from the receptionist was accurate for example). we got a free upgrade to a huge room under the roof, very nice; breakfast was a big disappointment though, although we complained, espacially the quantity of it

I picked this hotel because of it's location to the railway station and to the city centre. Easy to find the welcome from reception was lovely. The rooms are modern with a well equipped bathroom and a powerful shower. 5-10 mins walk and you are in the centre square of Valladolid. The next day the reception let us leave our bags whilst we explored more of the city and also helped us get an earlier train back to Madrid. Highly recommended hotel for a stay in Valladolid

No Problem. You will find good to excellent locations for a "desajuno" (breakfast) around the Plaza Espana (300m from Gareus) or Plaza Major with adjacent Calle Ferrari.

Hi, Yes absolutely I would use the Hotel's garage facility and you won't get any more secure as you have to use a code provided by Reception to exit. You access it via a car lift which was a first for us and it is a very tight fit. The underground car park is perfectly adequate and I think you would struggle with public parking as it is a busy area. Worth the money. Great hotel so hope you enjoy your stay in this delightful city.
