Detailed Reviews
I stayed here for 5 weeks while working in Spain and I had a fantastic stay.
The hotel is situated in the city centre within easy walking distance of the main attractions and restaurants. There is a lovely park opposite the hotel for cool evening walks.
The room was fantastic comfortable, clean and very modern in appearance. The twin beds were very comfortable, and I slept very well, I requested extra pillows these were provided with no issues.
We were there during the COVID restrictions, the staff were very attentive and helpful, showing meticulous care in cleanliness and maintaining social distancing.
Breakfast initially was served on a tray and there was enough for a family of 4 on each tray, the food was excellent. Towards the end of the trip restrictions were eased and the full buffet breakfast was available and again this was excellent. I did occasionally eat in the evening and the restricted menu was tasty and very good.
The biggest positive that can be on any hotel is the staff, I cannot fault the staff they were friendly very very helpful and attentive.
On a personal note the hotel serves 1906 Reserva Especial, one of the nicest beers I have ever had, but be careful it is pretty strong.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Valladolid, I know if I ever have the opportunity to visit this will be my hotel of choice.

I chose this hotel as it was highly rated on Trip Advisor (#1 in Valladolid), and also because I prefer boutique size hotels, rather than big accommodations. Check-in was seamless. Rooms size is adequate, with fantastic room lighting, good room temperature, comfortable beds and huge TV. After a great rest, I decided to go down for breakfast, as it was not originally included in the reservation. It was one of the best breakfast I've ever had: with fresh coffee, fresh fruit and a wide selection of good quality cold meat and cheese, as well as cereals. Top marks Hotel Colon Plaza. Thanks

Well located, near the train station and short walk to main square.
The area appears to be safe. Nearby there are bars and restaurants.
The hotel does not have parking by itself, but it has an agreement with a parking lot in the hospital Campo Grande, nearby. Quite convenient, if traveling by car (although parking is a bit expensive).
The hotel is new (or recently renovated), quite clean and functional.
The junior suite is large but it has a weak point: the windows are for the back of the hotel, facing a narrow hole. Thus it does not deserve the difference in price from normal rooms (which have windows facing the large garden of Campo Grande.
I would probably stay in this hotel again, but I would not choose the junior suite again.

Dear Camarinha Thank you very much for your review that fills us with joy and satisfaction. The hotel is located, in front of the large field and the tourist office, about 5 minutes walking in a straight line from the Plaza Mayor, the heart of the city. Fully equipped with 33 cm thick Pikolin viscoelastic mattresses, a large rain-effect shower head, a good Wi-Fi signal and a 50-inch TV. To finish, a quality buffet breakfast with up to 60 hot and cold products where the star is the Nexpresso coffee. There is also the option of having a continental breakfast based on coffee or similar, juice and pastries. Regarding our building, it is historical, from the 19th century and totally rehabilitated and transformed into a modern four-star hotel. Access to the hotel has six steps and it also has a platform for people with reduced mobility. Regarding the car park, owned by the hotel, it is located in the private area within the public car park in front of the hotel door, less than 100 meters away. Without a doubt, it is a very optimal and comfortable solution to guarantee that our clients park their vehicle almost at the door of the hotel and also supervised. We greatly appreciate your visit and hope to see you again. Until then receive a cordial greeting R.S. Quality Manager

I chose this hotel based on the references I saw written. We booked two superior rooms with views. However, I have been greatly disappointed. The fully glazed bathroom, which is the first thing you see when you open the door to the room, means that if there is someone using the toilet or showering and they knock on the door, you cannot open it. Not having closets, I don't doubt that it will save space, but the appearance of the room with the clothes hanging is horrible. To highlight something positive, it would simply be the breakfast, which has variety and good products, nothing more. And finally I would give some advice to the management. I have been in many hotels that have a detail with the clients when they leave, but with all the clients, not with some yes and others no. In the event that for some reason you want to have a detail with a client, do it in their room, so that the rest of the clients do not see it.

This is a small hotel located within easy walking distance from Plaza Mayor and the main shopping, restaurant areas. Essentially you can walk everywhere and even the cathedral is an easy 20 minute walk. Lots of breakfast options nearby so no need to pay for expensive hotel breakfasts. You can get breakfast from €5 to €3 nearby and that includes a coffee, juice, pain au chocolat plus a main item eg tortilla, pan con tomate, churros etc. We went to Senatta - great bakery five minutes from the hotel. We had a double room which was compact but very clean. This is not a luxurious hotel and the rooms are simple but adequate and comfortably furnished. Bathrooms have all the basic amenities and a partial shower screen which means a very wet bathroom floor after a couple of showers. I was expecting better rooms based on the reviews. Annoyingly the lights in the corridors are activated by movement, which is very disconcerting when the sensor is located a number of steps from your room which was our experience. It means you are fumbling in the dark until you trigger a sensor. Not a pleasant experience. Also irritating is that there are stairs to enter/leave the hotel which means lifting luggage. Car park is a short walk away and €17 a night. Whilst our stay was okay will look for other options if we return to Valladolid. Check in and out very efficient.

Very functional hotel, located in a privileged area in the center of Valladolid, allowing you to walk to all the sites of interest.
The staff is very friendly, with a simple and courteous treatment, very Castilian.
The outdoor terrace, where you can eat a menu for an interesting price, is very nice.

I honestly dont think you can pick a better hotel for the cost of the rooms. I stayed here for 5 weeks for work commitments & the staff at the hotel made it so much more bearable. Best in town. The rooms are so well cleaned, fresh towels, bedding every day. Excellent shower & comfortable beds. Good location in the city with easy parking access. The breakfast choice is fantastic & evening meal choices are great. Like I said I stayed in the hotel for an extended trip due to work commitments & I honestly couldn't thank the owners & staff more. Nothing is a chore, they all buy into the atmosphere of the hotel & it provides such a relaxed experience. I honestly will stay here everytime I return to valladolid

Entrance to the hotel tells the story. A four star hotel with kind of a mess at the front to cater to their restaurant outside. Very off putting.
Second: went to two different rooms that smelled strongly of tobacco smoke. (With a mask on).
Ended up in a smaller room even though we paid for a suite. No concessions made.
Third: cleanliness. Corners in room were dirty and caulking breaking at every joint in the room. Lack of maintenance.
Fourth: service. 4 stars supposedly with 2 star towels, soaps, luggage (steps down to lobby- not shown on their photos).
Fifth: internet. You will need to stand On one leg the entrance of your room with your phone up in the air To get one bar of Wi-Fi
Sixth: No bottles of water in the room… Unless you wanna pay from the minibar

Dear Customer, Thank you very much for your review. The hotel is placed in a refurbished historic building and is located in the best area of Valladolid, opposite Campo Grande Park and the Tourist Office. Access to the reception is via 7 stairs and there is also a platform for access by disabled people. Due to the COVID19 we have enabled a terrace on the street whose access is through the hotel entrance. The waiters usually help the clients in the access with the suitcases. The cleanliness of the hotel is a critical and positive point. The team of chambermaids strive to achieve the satisfaction of our customers. The Wi-Fi service is first class and the hotel has a server that manages all the connections to guarantee the satisfaction of our clients. Finally, all the rooms are fully equipped with a minibar for a fee. Regular customers who book through the hotelvalladolid.com website have a bottle of water free of charge. We greatly appreciate your visit and hope to see you again. Sincerely receive a greeting R.S. Quality Manager

The hotel is phenomenal. The location is unbeatable in front of the park and less than 5 minutes from the pedestrian zone of the city. The rooms are comfortable, the beds comfortable and the bathroom is very good. Breakfast is complete (sweets, savory and fruit) and the meals are very good! I would repeat without a doubt!

+1
It's a convenient location, just a 3-5 minute walk from Valladolid Station. The rooms are clean and there is a refrigerator so you can keep your drinks cool. During our stay, my family had lost their appetite due to fatigue from the trip and feeling unwell, so we asked the front desk for hot water to eat instant soup, and the hotel restaurant prepared it for us. It was very helpful. Thank you. The hot water made us feel better. A request from a guest: I think it would be good if they prepared an electric kettle in the guest room. All the staff were kind. This is a recommended hotel.

I had no problems with noise.
Buenas tardes,
