We ate dinner here on our stop on the camino. The food was very good although the service was somewhat inconsistent due to language barriers. The atmosphere here was very cozy and the fish dish I had was very good. The waiter recommended some Bierzo wine with our food and it was excellent. I would would definitely return to this...

We ordered sweetbread for starters and paella with a half lobster. The paella was inedible. No lobster meat to be found. Just undercooked rice in oil. The sweetbread was to be served as an afterthought. We just asked for the bill and left. Don't go there. Even not if you're hungry as we were.

After walking around Leon to find somewhere to eat most of the restaurants were more bars than family restaurants we then stumbled on Boccalino the waitress was first class even spoke some English (more than my Spanish). Food was great and was served up vary quick. I would not hesitate in going back.

5 minutes walk to the cathedral and close to everything. Rooms are very clean though basic. We stayed 3 nights so being in central León was very important to us. The Plaza St Isadora was very active with a medieval festival.

After wandering around Leon for the morning and ending up at San Isidora church we decided to stop in the historic square for lunch to further admire the architecture around us. We decided to have the menu del dia for 12 euro each and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food that we received. The mussels and gazpacho...

Having driven past León on numerous occasions, we decided to "let the train take the strain" and took the train from our local station to Leon. Arriving in León in late afternoon, we booked into our hotel. It appears that the hotel & Bar Capri is in one building and the other building across the square houses a Hostal &...

We stayed in Boccalino on our Camino while in Leon. Being told that Leon is a town worth at least half a day we decided to treat ourself and stay in the centre to see it all. I booked Hotel but Boccalino appeared to be two things: a restaurant with some rooms above in one building and hostel in the...

We stayed here during our trip on the Camino de Santiago. What a great location and beautiful hotel. Our room overlooked a park. Good value for your money indeed. Close to everything in Leon. You won't go wrong here.

I stayed here on the night before starting the last 300km of the Camino. The hotel is in a great location, and it was immaculately clean. My room was modest, but perfectly suitable for a one night stay when all I wanted it for was to wash and sleep. There is free wifi, but you need to use it downstairs....

“Avoid the first floor [noise]. If you want a view, make sure to ask for it. A lot of rooms face a wall, which is fine by me, but someone else might find it unsatisfactory.”
