Used this hotel en route to Madrid. The Landa is directly situated to the highway, but absolutely quite. Very nice and helpfull night staff. Room was spacious and clean, with a little balcony. Excellent beds! Unfortunately due to time problems could not try the restaurant/bar. Check out was quick and very friendly. Not being cheap, the hotel was worth each...

This hotel is family owned, and you can tell. The staff can't do enough for you, and want to make sure your stay is a good one. The pool is in a unique setting, and the water was warm ! Our room was in the tower, on the top floor. It was a large room, with a big bathroom too....

We spent one night in Burgos. This hotel has been a delightful experience. The Hotel decoration is stunning, I have taken many pictures of it as one room was nicer than the previous one. A medieval castle perfectly equipped for the modern and exquisite traveller. The dinner at the restaurant was perfect. Pity the short breakfast (no buffet).

After stumbling across this hotel in error - what a wonderful surprise when we finally got into our room for the night. Exhausted after nearly 48 hours of travel - the huge clean bathroom - did not have its shower in the bath - washed away our weariness and the sumptuous bed gave us a full uninterrupted 13 hours of...

Landa hotel is conveniently located just outside the old city of Burgos. It is built in the style of a castle with lavishly comfortably appointed rooms. The hotel has a slightly strange atmosphere nut enjoyable nevertheless. The restaurant and café are good – dinner was good and rustic, breakfast very enjoyable. Staff and service were welcoming, friendly and efficient. We...

This hotel exhumes charm and character. Every corner is a trip down history. So much character in every fibre of this hotel. Spacious suites with all the amenities you can think of. Beautiful grounds. Excellent hotel restaurants and great staff Only let down are the sheets are not as soft as they should be and no coffee pot in the...

The Landa Hotel is fabulous. We stayed a couple of years ago and fell in love with the hotel then. We took our Australian friends to stay and they loved it too. We stayed two nights and didn't want to leave. It's magical, a real hidden gem. The receptionist Elsie was great, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble....

From the moment you walk in it is close to perfect. We had a suite in the converted tower. Everything was absolutely first class. The lobby and the entire venue are impeccable with antiques and architectural details that are truly remarkable. No corners were cut and no minor elements overlooked. The experience was truly wonderful. The pool is unbelievable the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The beginning of the Landa dates back to 1959. A little restaurant was opened 2 km outside Burgos where travellers used to refresh themselves on their journey along the road which, despite its faults, was then the main route linking the capital with the north of Spain. The commitment of the Landa family to the hotel business dates back to the beginning of the 20th century with the "Real Club de Puerta de Hierro" in Madrid and "La Perla" in San Sebastian, and later with "La Gran Taberna", also in Madrid. The Landa started out during hard times for the Spanish hotel business in non urban areas; the hotel, its various extensions, the tower, the pool, the square... Were incorporated later on, little by little. ... more   less
