Very basic but pleasant apartments. Staff don't speak English but very kind and helpful. Location is brilliant for the beach and for shops. Apartment itself was spotlessly clean and I felt very safe as a lone, female traveller. This is no frills but great value for money. I recommend these apartments for an inexpensive, last minute break.

Very simple but spacy apartments. Nice and clean, but a bit noisy, as you can easily hear your neighbours. The location is great, close to shopping, restaurants, Santa Catalina park and the beach/boardwalk. Great value for money.

I often travel solo and have travelled to many many different destinations including Las Palmas several times. Las Palmas is an amazing place with an amazing beach and great food too. I generally stay in the Reina bull however I have noticed that a lot of the smaller hotels are often un noticed so thought I would try this hotel. It’s not really cheap but also not too expensive either. The first thing you notice is that hotel reception area is well presented and staff look very friendly until you try and talk to them and they are very very rude and arrogant and will not help you! I was told my room was on the top floor so I went to my room to find the room was filthy! Electrical wires where hanging lose and the whole room had an awful smell!! I complained to the manager who told me if I didn’t like it to find another hotel!! At this point I felt quiet threatened and didn’t want to be homeless so just put up with it. I decided to sit on the balcony on the first night to relax however I simply couldn’t do so due to the amount of noise and mayhem from the street below! I stood up to look over the balcony and the whole balcony safety rail literally moved 4 inches! Upon inspection the whole rail was secured using only 2 small screws which where lose and rusted! After a very long night of trying to sleep and not being able to due to extreme heat and itching from the bedding I decided at 8.15am to complain once again to reception! I was told I had to leave immediately and if I didn’t leave the police would be called!! I demanded a full refund and was not given anything back!! At this point the realisation that I was 5000 miles from home with nowhere to sleep really hit me and I was somewhat scared and felt very very alone. I had only bought with me enough money to cover food and essentials so really was stuck in a horrible situation. I left and spent an hour on the phone to family and friends trying to arrange for some cash to be sent to me. Thankfully I managed to secure some cash and managed to get a room at the bull Reina at a very discounted price and was no longer homeless. Please please do not use this awful and disgusting hotel

These apartments are fantastic for what you pay for , they are clean comfortable and spacious, the location is two minutes from beach front and you are in the middle of the hub of the bars and restaurants. We found ALL members of staff to be polite and helpful and have no idea what other reviewers are talking about !! Also you are in the middle of a city , you will experience noise in the morning that's because people are going to work , shops are opening ,bins are getting emptied, streets are getting cleaned etc etc , as for people speaking Spanish, doh that's because you're in Spain!!! I suggest Anyone that wonts different to head of to their all inclusive package deals on the coast , to experience their home from home experiences i.e full English, sports bars and karaoke and stay clear of the beautiful cultural city and area of Las Palmas thankyou Catalina Apartments for making our stay so enjoyable , hope to see you soon , room 217 March 13 th - 20th
