We stayed here for one night and we're glad that we moved out the following day. It's stated as 3 stars but our impression is that it's only 2 stars! The room is very cramped, quite difficult for two persons (though we are slim ones!) to move around at the same time. The decors are quite dated, and the toilet has a kind of filthy smell. Much updating is required. In any case, the hotel is centrally located, with a few mini marts around. Thanks to the double glazed windows & quiet air conditioning, and that we're tired after the flight, we had a good night sleep. The reception staff are helpful in general. For the price we paid, we felt it's overpriced and there're much better options.

I stayed in Hotel Verol for eight days and found it to be well run, very clean and extremely well located. In my opinion it was a good value as well. I found the staff to be efficient but not particularly friendly (or unfriendly). They pretty much checked me in and left me alone, unless I needed something from them. It is located just a couple of blocks from the beach which I found a real plus. I had written ahead and asked for a room as high up as possible and was given a room on the third floor of what I think is a five or six floor hotel. Most places I stay are more accommodating to my requests. My room did not have a balcony or a view, other than of the building across the street. Because it is located in a congested area, I would recommend trying to get as high up in the hotel as possible to mitigate any noise from the street. I am somewhat sensitive to street noise, and it was not a problem for me, especially when I shut the windows when it was time to go sleep. Like most European hotels, my room was small. However, it was modern, clean and had all the amenities. For some reason they like to skimp on soap. I had to go to the front desk a couple of times and ask for more of the tiny soap bars they supply. Both times they graciously complied with my request. The ocean water was cold when I visited Las Palmas in January. So, I especially appreciated the endless supply of very hot water I cold get in the shower/tub. Some hotels fall short in this regard. I would stay at Hotel Verol again.

Location near coast. A smal;l friendly hotel. Staff helpful and friendly.Breakfast arrangements a little lacking in quality. Nose levels in room from road could be annoying (Leaving windows open not an option!) Rooms clean wifi reception good.

Stayed hear to wave the Arc Bon voyage. Hotel staff friendly, hotel spotlessly clean 2nd time stayed. Last time 4 years ago and when in las Palmas would definitely stay here again - loved it. Unfortunately in four years the cafe attached has changed Cook now very grumpy, no menu other than boards outside. Food not prepared with love. Staff friendly who try to fill the void - we may go to try the food in the future but will not be booking Hotel Verol with food.

We visited the hotel on August 16. We were greeted by the lovely, friendly, Paloma, who checked us in a very efficient manner. I was very happy with the location and the fact that the hotel was very clean and comfortable. As an employer myself, I know the importance of having the right staff. From reception right through to the house keeping staff, they were all extremely friendly and courteous. Go team Verol! You are this hotel's biggest asset.Excellent service. We will be back.Declan and Linda.
