We saw details of the Born hotel on a Google Earth search of Palma and decided to give it a try. We found it subsequently on Trip Advisor and the photos were wonderful - one look and we were sold: the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the cathedral, and hidden away in an alley. Through the imposing front...

Hotel staff was friendly during the day and the hotel was in a great location in Palma. The problem is that it's extremely noisy if your room surrounds the courtyard. At about 5am they start preparing for breakfast and you constantly here the rattle of dishes and then through 11am you hear people talking over their breakfast in the courtyard....

I was here with a girlfriend for a short break over the first bank holiday in may. We arrived and had some idea as to where the Hotel was, but when we found it we couldn't have been more delighted. Perfect location. Lovely charm. Staff Lovely. We were shown to our room and with even more great delight a double...

My husband and I recently stayed here on a weekend break to Palma. The hotel is in a great spot. We booked the junior suite which has a four poster bed and overlooks the courtyard. Although the building itself is beautiful, the hotel is pretty basic but there again it is a 2 star hotel. However the breakfast is fab....

We selected the Hotel Born because of Trip Advisor reviews, and we weren't disappointed. The hotel is very spacious, clean, central, well managed & generally quiet. All the old paintings and prints add to the charm. Continental breakfasts in the courtyard were a great way to start the day, with barista coffee as a bonus.

I have just returned from Palma and The Hotel Born with 5 girlfriends and were delighted with our choice of hotel. It was great value at around E97 including a very good buffet breakfast (juice, cereal, cheese, ham, yoghurts, bread, croissant, danish, muffins, fruit etc) and lovely fresh, fresh coffee which could all be eaten in the beautiful courtyard. I...

Have just spent 4 nights here with friends and cannot say how much we were all amazed at this hotel. We had junior suites and ours (Room 104 - very quiet, at least in April) was collosal. The room was an inner one overlooking a little back yard courtyard but we had nice shutters so that was no problem. We...

This hotel is in a great position - for walking, shopping, taking the bus to Ses Illetas beach, the train to Soller, etc.. We stayed for 4 nights last week and - although we were in Room 304, going out onto the alley - I can honestly say there were no problems with noise affecting our sleeping. The bathroom was...

I would recommend this hotel the building is truly stunning and we ate breakfast in the beautiful courtyard. The downside was that we were in Room 103 and it really is very noisy - we barely slept for 2 nights. Only book if you can be guaranteed a courtyard room.

We had a 3 night stay here in April. When we eventually found it (not due to poor directions but the massive Easter parade going down the street and through Palma!) we encountered helpful staff and a comfortable room. We paid a little extra for a courtyard view room following the advice on here, which was well worth the extra....
