We stayed here for 1 night in March. We were pleasantly surprised as how lovely this hostel is. The lady who checked us in did not speak English but we managed to communicate through her iPad. She was very helpful and got us a taxi and sent us to an amazing bar and restaurant where we had delicious food and...

They don't tell you this is a 4 story hotel without an elevator. I had to carry some heavy luggage up three flights of stairs myself. The room was very small and dark, with stains on the bed spreads. The walls are paper thin so you can actually hear the conversation in the next room. The breakfast is extremely limited....

The staff at Hostal Ria de Bilbao were very welcoming and showed us places on the metro maps where there were beaches, and places of interest. Plus they spoke decent English, which was great as my Spanish (or worse still, my Basque) is still to be improved upon! We had a beautiful view of the river and the hotel is...

This hostal provides basic, relatively clean accomodation. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there is a buffet breakfast provided, with baked goods and a drinks machine which produced decent coffee. However, the hostal is very noisy. The walls are paper-thin, so if you have people next door watching the football on TV, you can feel like you are with...

One first bad point is the schedule of the reception desk. Randomly open during the day and closed from 12 to 16 ... The manager is extremly rude, you will have to pay for all your stay upon arrival. He could not wait until the next day that our collegue arrive to pay his part. The wall are extremly tiny....

I very much enjoyed my stay here. Good, clean room with excellent facilities and self-service breakfast. San Mames only one stop on metro if you are planning a trip to the coast. Easy to get into Casco Viejo, too. Lovely helpful and friendly staff. Garden pleasant to sit out in the evenings if you are feeling weary and foot-sore from...

The hotel is very nice. Kind staff. Super breakfast. There is a garage near the hotel. There was a nice view from our room to the Nevron river. The location is quite good with about 10 minutes walking to the Guggenheim. I would definitely choose this hotel again.

Interesting clean place. Hostel is really OK for the money you pay. Near the center of the city. You can walk to the center (10 minutes). Near the river, which gives good view. Stuff is also OK. You can pay cash, credit card or other way. No limit for late come back.

We had a nice stay in this hostel, the staff were friendly and gave us some very good information. The hotel is located on the other bank of the city center and we had to walk approximately 16min to reach the metro, so it is a good hotel to stay if you have a car or don't mind the walking....

“There is no elevator so the 1st floor is preferable. A front view of the canal is probably better then the back view.”
