Perfectly located for everthing in Bilbao on the edge of the old quarter and on the bus and tram routes. An easy walk along the river to the Guggenheim. Parking on site and open wifi was generally fine. Unbelievably good hosts who run this family establishment- friendly and helpful. A little bit different; the host's elderly family are about and...

Second time we stay at this hotel in the middle of Bilbao. For us the big plus is the parking attached to the hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but convenient and clean and the price is right. We wanted a room with the view, of course we had the street noise. However, there...

Pros - Great location on the outer edge of the old town over looking the river. Comfy beds, good WIFI, freshly decorated, modern and very clean. The apartment was spacious. Con - no air conditioning so not a lot of ventilation in the apartment

Located opposite Arriaga theatre; if driving pull into space just past theatre, hotel is across street on second floor, push the bell to unlock door, reception upstairs, very friendly staff with perfect English. Get a room in back if you need quiet. An easy pleasant walk along river to Guggenheim. Hotel is in old town, lots of great tapas bars....

I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Arriaga. Located in the old town, the hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station, and there is a tram stop just outside their door. The location can't be beat! The owner of this hotel could not be more accomodating and helpful. We were...

I was in Bilbao over the bank holiday/fiesta weekend and unable to find a room and was thinking I would have to leave Bilbao until I was put in contact with Hotel Arriaga who put themselves out to fit me in and were able to give me accommodation for the weekend. Excellent service and rates. Check it out

Rick Steves, the well-known travel writer, led me to the Hotel Arriga two years ago. Since then, I have returned several times as I, too, have been on the Camino. Steves describes it very well. If one wants high tech, the Arriaga would not satisfy one. If one enjoys friendliness, local knowledge, proximity to the Old Town and a short...

We stayed here in the fall of '14 after completing the Camino de Santiago. It's a one star hotel, so all the basics are covered without any sophistication. The two significant pluses are the prices (inexpensive) and the location. If you want to stay on the edge of Old Town without spending a lot of money, this is the place....

This place is exactly what we were looking for, in that we needed a place from which we could easily walk to the many museums in Bilbao. It is not fancy, but clean and friendly. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and fluent in English. Jon has first-hand knowledge of other cultures and languages, but is also very knowledgeable...

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Arriaga. It was located in the Old Town close by many good sights and food and transportation. The owner was so kind and friendly. We enjoyed our interaction with him and his family. The room suited out needs perfectly. Comfortable beds, clean ensuite bathroom and nice balcony. At times I felt like I was...
