Interesting place to stay. Not pretentious or glamorous. The handmade items in the room were beautiful and the I was most impressed with the bathroom interior. Very beautiful. The room wasn't as luxurious as I was expecting but for the average price of a room I didn't think it was too bad for value for money. I'd prefer to stay...

Seville has more expensive hotels and I am sure more modern hotels. I know there are cheaper hotels as well. Alcoba del Rey is a good middle ground for people looking for access to all Seville has to offer along with moderate expense and comfortable place to use as tourist central. As the picture shows, the hotel is more like...

My husband & I recently stayed at the Alcoba. We'd initially booked for the marathon but because of injury it ended up being a wonderful romantic break. The decor is as pictured in a Moorish style. The room was beautiful & really felt like an oasis with touches like a gorgeous rain style shower, an incense menu, and gorgeous smelling...

Thank you very much for your opinion. We really appreciate them because they give us clues of how can we improve in our guests' satisfaction. I´'m sorry you could not have the privacy you needed at the tollet. Our rooms are all different between each other and there are much private bathrooms and others that their decoration is such that...

beautiful hotel, full of character and with excellent service. added bonus was an escalator, not always available in an old building. breakfast was a buffet of cheeses, meats and omelettes and breads, all fresh and delicious.

We stayed at the Alcoba del Rey de Sevilla for two nights during New Year's celebrations. The hotel is located in the Macarena district, a 20m walk to the historic centre. The neighborhood of the hotel is very nice and full of good restaurants and bars where you can find mostly locals. The rooms are original, cozy clean and comfortable....

This small hotel with a Moorish-inspired design emphasis is located in La Macarena, just across from the regional parliament and next to the Basilica, and easily accessible via taxi or city bus. It’s in a bustling neighborhood (outside the tourist zone and not quaint), but the street noise was not intrusive inside the hotel. Fun, little neighborhood shops are nearby—a...

We stayed at Alcoba Del Rey on our honeymoon and this hotel is a gem of a find! The entire hotel has a very Turkish feel and decor which makes you feel like you are in an Arabian Nights story. The rooms are whimsically fabulous, the washrooms are clean and exotic and the service is impeccable! The food at the...

This friendly little economy hotel has a very authentic feel of Moorish Spain from the moment you walk inside, an impression which is added to by the individuality of the bedrooms located off two galleried corridors. There are nice little touches everywhere, from the fountain in the lobby to the horseshoe arches and atmospheric decor. Our double room had a...

Booked this hotel through the reviews I had read and was jot disappointed. The hotel is in Macarena district but very easy to walk into the main centre. I loved the authenticity of the hotel and the area. The staff were extremely helpful and we loved our room. The beds are extremely comfortable and the breakfast very good and proper...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Andalusian legacy is still prevalent in Seville. Our hotel, Alcoba del Rey de Sevilla, is located next to the Basilica de la Macarena, which keeps the Virgin Mary of Macarena, in the same house where, according to the legend, the poet king of Seville Al-mutamid hid his impetuous love for the washerwoman Rumaykiyya from his father. To face modern life stress, in our hotel you will find peace, calm, serenity, tranquility, relax and rest for your body… and your soul.We invite you to time travel: go back to the Andalusian period, a time full of colors and emotions when Seville (Isbiliyya) was the cradle of Western and Eastern cultures, arts and scientific knowledge, thanks to the contact and fusion of three different cultures: Jewish, Muslims and Christians. You will be surprised by our colorful and impeccable decoration! But we have a bigger surprise for all of our guests. We are a hotel-boutique and every piece of furniture in the rooms and the hotel is on sale. You can buy pictures, lamps, headboards, canopy beds, chairs, curtains, bathroom fittings… everything you want! We are continuously innovating!A wonderful terrace with a Chill Out Lounge will make you enjoy spring and summer nights as well as you can have lovely sunbathings and freely use our outdoor jacuzzi. And the last surprise!!!
