Melia Sevilla garners praise for its comfortable and modern atmosphere, with a welcoming vibe noted by numerous guests. While the majority of visitors appreciate the hotel's cleanliness and location, offering convenient access to transport and attractions, a handful have raised concerns about the upkeep of bathrooms and the distance to tourist hotspots. The opinions on room value and quality are divided; some commend the spaciousness and 'The Level' service, others point to maintenance and cleanliness issues. Amenities like the pool are popular, but can be crowded, and while service is generally lauded for staff friendliness, there are occasional reports of service inconsistencies.

Highly recommend this hotel. We really enjoyed the stay. The room was great, spacious for a family of 4. Staff all around were fantastic. The checkin and check out process was seamless. Special Thanks to Estrella, Carmen, and Isabel at the Melia Level Desk. Made us feel welcome, answered all our questions, patiently helped us book tours, provided restaurant recommendations. The lounge was fantastic. Overall highly recommend this hotel. Thank you everyone.

The Melia Sevilla lacks the charm of hotels in older buildings, but it more than compensates with extremely comfortable rooms, a pleasant bar, a good restaurant, and other modern amenities. We found the staff pleasant, professional, and helpful. The hotel's location, almost directly across the street from the plaza espana, should serve the needs of most tourists very well. Unlike in some of the more crowded areas of the city, it is easy to get in and out, but the hotel is also within walking distance of the old center of Sevilla. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for creature comforts and is willing to sacrifice a bit of local flavor for that purpose.

Eight of us stayed here whilst in Seville, we have stayed before so know it it is a good position to visit the city and the hotel is maintained to a good standard.

Always upgrade to the level experience as the rooms are better and you get access to the level lounge, we would have preferred it if this was an adults only area as children running around is not our idea of a relaxing time.

Check in at the level lounge by Carmen was very efficient and she remembered us from previous visits.

The New Year’s Eve party was brilliant and was equally as good as in previous years music was very loud at times.

Thanks for a great start to 2020.

The pool is closed in the winter so if this is the reason for choosing this hotel look elsewhere.
We telephoned both Melia central services and the Melia Sevilla hotel itself before we booked for a last minute sunshine holiday. We were reassured that due to the weather being exceptionally warm the pool would stay open all week. We even asked again at check in before we settled and unpacked and were again reassured yes it was open. It seems the staff are misinformed and don't communicate with each department because the pool is infact closed and they are using the pool area for corporate business events. The manager was very helpful and tried to accommodate holiday makers where he could to let them have snippets of time by the pool with limited sunbed availability. I suppose the weather is unusual for the time of year to be in the late 20's. It is sad though as it is the main reason we booked this hotel.
Some staff in this hotel are wonderful. The man who takes care of luggage, the lady in Quimera restaurant (the food is great at Quimera too), the man at the bar.
The reception staff are mixed and the man at check in was unfriendly.
The room is basic but clean and serviced well each day except bottled (actually tinned) water isn't replenished. The room doesn't have the normal amenities in the bathroom you would expect so bring cotton wool and flannels if required. They do have Ritual shampoo, conditioner, liquid soap and hand cream though.
The lifts could do with an overhaul as they stop at every floor and as only one family or 2 people are allowed in each lift due to covid rules it does get a bit crazy with the stop starting if you are on the 11th floor.
The level is worth paying extra for. The level lounge bar was good although sometimes serviced well and replenished and sometimes left to get untidy with limited food available.
The breakfast at the level is basic but on a busy weekend it was better than queuing for a table at the main dining room. However on quite days the breakfast at the main dining room is best as there is a much better selection and hot food is served there too.
Would I come to this hotel again? No.

The Melia Sevilla was home for 3 nights over New Year's and a great base to stay as it a short 5 minute walk from San Bernardo which is one of the airport bus stops.

Checkin was quick and allocated a room on the 4th floor overlooking the pool ( closed for the season) and the pretty Plaza de España. The room was a decent size, plenty of wardrobe space , a small desk area , a very uncomfortable chair and king sized bed which was super comfortable.

Bathroom was a little small and narrow but had a great shower and even a long deep tub which was super after walking the streets all day. Nice Rituals toiletries fixed to the walls so a little hard to use. Wifi was free and easy to connect to, no issues.

Sadly breakfast was disappointing every day, lack of bread, little choice of rolls , the cold meats and cheeses were all hard and dried out. The cooked items were at best warm but mostly cold. The bacon was rubbery and hard, the chef offered to reheat the fried eggs when I pointed out they were cold ??? rather than cook new ones. It was better to have an omelet as these were freshly cooked in front of you. The selection of cakes was disappointing too . Items were slow to be refilled and replaced when they ran out, I appreciate the hotel was busy but it is not good enough. However the juices and fruits selections were good but not worth €14 per person.

The bar and common areas were nicely decorated for Christmas , service at the bar was great , no problem getting served and good drinks too. Reception staff were helpful and friendly too and checking out was a breeze.

The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the city center but it's flat and easy stroll , the metro / bus / tram stop at San Bernardo is useful and it's handy for the shops at Nervión Plaza too.

The Melia is ok in a number of ways. If you want to stay outside the old city it is not a bad spot, opposite the Plaza Espana and about 15 mins walk from the cathedral. I'd prefer to be closer to the old city but it was fine and taxis are very cheap if you don't want to walk. The area is a bit dead but safe. The hotel is not cheap but good places in the centre can be quite expensive. We had a room the wrong side of the hotel - the pool and plaza view might be a a lot nicer

The lobby was very nice with a good coffee bar and the food and room service was decent but pricey. The pool is pretty though was not really in use when we were there. The rooms are comfortable but if you opt of a family room you will get a pokey end room with little window light. The allure of a dividing door disguises the fact that the adult sleeping area is pretty small and you have to walk through the other room to get to the bathroom. When we asked for another room we got moved into a room with a foldaway bed and no divide. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was nice.
I wouldn't tell you to avoid this hotel as it's fine unless you want a family room in which case you can do better for this kind of money

Myself and my fiance had a lovely stay at this hotel. Our room was spacious and cleaned daily. We didn't have a balcony or a particularly good view, but it was still good. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had bed a breakfast- there was a good selection at breakfast even for vegetarians like us.
The pool area is small but lovely. It has a great view of the Plaza de Espana and the pool bar, although busy in the hot August weather, was great and wasn't difficult to get food and drinks. Good options- cocktail and vegetarian foods!
Unfortunately, people reserved sunbeds quite early, so if you don't get up and put your towels down, you won't get one. It does say you're not allowed to do this but people do and no one enforces that you can't. As there aren't many sunbeds, it is quite annoying if people have reserved them and then don't appear until much later in the afternoon! People started reserving at about 7:30 and they were gone by 8:30 ish. They do provide clean pool towels every day.

The location is also good. There is a supermarket a couple of minutes away. The Plaze de Espana (which is beautiful) it about 10 minutes walk away. The cathedral area (where all the shops, tapas restaurants etc.) is about 20 minute walk away and through a lovely park. You could get buses etc. but we didn't try that there.

The airport is 30 minutes away on a public bus which was really easy to get! It was 4 euros each and not a faff at all. It ran every 15 minutes and dropped off at a stop 5 minutes away from the hotel. You must wear a mask on the bus.

Recommend visiting the Setas de Seville, Flamenco show and Paddle boarding!

For the size of this hotel, the rooms are very well insulated for sound. Bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom was very modern. If you have issues with walking/ mobility, ensure that you ask for a room lower down as lift access can be an issue during busier times - especially during breakfast and check out. The staff are all very accommodating and friendly. This hotel is located within a 15-20 minute walk to the old town. Would return to this hotel and would recommend.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay here a few weeks ago. The hotel was in a good location, close to the Plaza de Espana and within walking distance of the cathedral and La Giralda tower.

The room was very clean, and despite the hotel being fully occupied we never heard any noise from other rooms. The bar area was spacious. Personally I found the sofas and chairs slightly low. The evening we arrived, we just wanted a drink as we had arrived fairly late. We were surprised not to find a drinks or food menu on display. So we requested what we wanted at the bar. I was slightly surprised to find that they had run out of fresh orange juice ( in a city known for it's oranges!)

A couple of days later, when we returned to the hotel tired and hungry, after a long day's sightseeing, we found out that in order to access the bar menu you had to use a QR code on a coaster! Although I am not quite 60, I found this annoying and would not have managed without the assistance of a waiter and my more technologically aware friend.

The restaurant where breakfast was served was very spacious, and there was a large selection of choices. On the day we were visiting La Alhambra we requested a picnic breakfast, due to an early start, which we ate on the train. This was very large, and one would have sufficed for 2 people! My friend and I ate some for our lunch, and still had to throw some away!

There was a nice looking pool next to the breakfast restaurant, however my friend and I did not have time to make use of it.

Seville is a very interesting city to visit. We visited this city three times, including twice in 2019. We stayed in Melia Seville on our second visit to Seville in 2019. Compared to its price, it is a good hotel: modern decor, spacious room and very good service. Breakfast is also excellent. This hotel is located just behind Plaza Espagna, it is not the best location for visiting the old town of Seville but it is still a good location. We stayed at this hotel over Christmas. Christmas Eve dinner is a buffet, nothing special, actually quite poor. We believe that the hotel should and could do better. It's why we gave the hotel 4 out of 5 stars.
