My husband and I recently stayed in the El Ladron de Agua after researching the many hotels that Granada has to offer. We were certainly not disappointment by the hotel, breakfast or the room. We paid for the Generalife Suite which was worth every cent as it looked out on to the Alhambra which at night was lit up. The...

Excellent Hotel located very close to everything. Nice view facing Alhambra. A little bit noisy from street below. Book rooms not facing street if you are disturbed. Excellent service. Standard breakfast but OK

Dear Jan S, thank you for your review!! We are glad you had an excellent stay! Due to our central location, weekends and bank holidays may bring some noise from the street; we have earplugs and also 24h reception service. As you suggest, standard rooms facing the back of the hotel could be a good solution for light sleepers. We...

My husband and I just spent a week here. The hotel is very quaint and close to the historic Alhambra and Albaizyn. The staff were fantastic, very helpful and friendly. They serve great cappuccino and there is free tea in the library. The only challenge was that it was very loud on Friday and Saturday night. Overall, wonderful place, I...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It is organized on a Moorish style, with a coveered open atrium and rooms around it. It is in the heart of the tourist area, with a great view of the Alhambra right across the small river (stream?) in front of the hotel. Walking distance to lots of restaurants,...

El Ladron de Agua is a charming hotel with very attentive and friendly staff. We arrived too early to check-in, but were greeted very warmly and given lots of time and attention. The lobby and library areas are simply beautiful with many thoughtful touches. The breakfast selection is large and it's tasty overall. The room itself didn't quite live up...

El Ladron de Ag... E, Director de Recepción at El Ladron de Agua, responded to this review

Dear ericasZ7588SN, We are glad you enjoyed your stay at our little hotel. As you know, it is a renovated house from the 16th century, and our idea is to combine modern and antique sense. Common areas are therefore more modern, with a simple minimalist design, to host graphic art and poetry and our rooms have real antique furniture but...

The hotel is an excellent location, perfect as a base for walking the entire city centre. Rooms were comfortable, breakfast was adequate and the staff were friendly and helpful. Because it is an older building in the centre of a touristic area, there is a lot of noise in the evenings coming from the streets. The walls are also very...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A building from the 16th century has become a hotel, taking its spirit from the essence of Juan Ramon Jimenez's journey and his poems. Its privileged location in the heart of Granada, at the foot of the Albayzin; its rooms bathed in the light of the Alhambra; its colonnaded patio; its lounge, vestibule and well/cistern... All these charms will lead you to the sound of water, and to a peace that will give you inner harmony. ... more   less
