We spent 2 lovely nights at this delightful place. Smiley happy helpful staff and a wonderful aura in a beautiful old house(well palace !) what a delight Nothing was too much trouble and everything worked perfectly. Bed was sooo comfy Superb. Thank you. Would definitely stay again and we recommend highly
Excellent hôtel well located close to everything in the city. Very nice service with people caring about you. Nice restaurant in the garden with good food and wines. Cocktails are not the best ( caipirinha made twice, but not very good). Very good breakfast food and service.
We stayed here recently for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location is fantastic, a short walk to all the sights. We even managed to walk to Alhambra Palace in a mini heatwave 🥵. I’d advise others to use a taxi as the lady in reception advised. Such an interesting city with lots of atmosphere and plenty to see and do. We were in the new building. Our room was quiet and we thoroughly enjoyed the varied breakfast on offer. I have taken a dot off simply because the marble bath is the most uncomfortable bath I have ever taken in my life! A previous reviewer called it form over function and I totally agree. A big shout out to Francisco Perez (reception) who kept in touch with us following our original plan to stay in March 2020 being cancelled due to Covid. He came and introduced himself and shook our hands following many months of emails back and forward. A lovely touch and much appreciated.…
The palacio In Grenada is in two parts, the historic main house and the modern building. We stayed the historic bit and had a lovely ground floor junior suite. The ceilings were so high it felt a bit like we were sleeping in a bank hall (not a criticism!). Great service from the reception and the door staff. Breakfast was simple but fine. Lovely patio space for restaurant for lunch especially. The pool was closed when we were there, but it looked quite small and was indoors. Great location for sight-seeing and shopping. Perfect place from which to explore Grenada.
A previous reviewer warned about room 116. We were allocated the same disabled room facing right onto the street, and had to contend with the same noise. I only discovered this whilst checking to see if it was a common issue. Sadly it is. The noise was a problem in the afternoon, and come the evening after midnight when I hoped the clanging every 5 minutes of people doing their recycling would stop I gave up and asked to switch rooms. We then had to move again the following day as the suite was booked, so three rooms in two days. The staff were helpful and apologetic and we were given a bottle of cava by way of apology. But I'd rather not have been allocated to a noisy room in the first place. It's not the quietest venue in town, and even in the other rooms traffic noises were faintly audible. My overall impression was that it was okay.…
Lovely oasis very conveniently near the centre. Tranquil garden/patio area. We got upgraded to a large room on the third floor of the old building. The room had everything you could possibly need and an enormous comfy bed. Quite a Spanish feel to the room so not just any old bland hotel room. Breakfast had a good selection of buffet items plus you could get eggs cooked to your liking. Staff were helpful.
We stayed for three nights during a trip round the region. This hotel is part of the Hospes chain and they are reliable hotels. We stayed in the new block (the old one might be noisy with banging doors and marble floors). The rooms are clean and functional, beds are comfortable but the rooms are gloomy, with poor lighting and few storage facilities (wardrobe close to the bathroom area). Breakfasts are fine and efficient but service in the evening was so slow we gave up after half an hour waiting for our food.
My original review was: When we arrived, we had to switch 3 elevators to get from the parking to the reception. We were shocked to hear that they charge 30 EUR for a dog. The room was dirty and there were no hot water. After a while there were dirty brown water coming out (and still not hot, or even warm). I would expect much more from an expensive 5 stars hotel. Following this review, the hotel refunded me 50% of the room rate and asked me to change my review. In the morning there a strong smell of sewage from the sink. I reported that as well. I appreciate the partial refund. The price is still very high because they charge 26 EUR for parking (which is A LOT) and 30 EUR for a dog (which is extremely high and unjustified). I also don’t like when a hotel manager asks to discuss a review. Reviews must be impartial and de-associated with any refund or billing adjustment.…

We recently stayed at Hospes Palacio and we were fortunate to be upgraded .The room was beautiful .Very comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. The hotel was very covid aware without being intrusive. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful .It is in a great position for exploring Granada .All major attractions in walking distance. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant and drinks outside in the patio area. I would certainly recommend it.
