Located in the perfect area for exploring the city, hotel staff so friendly and provide a luggage drop service pre check in and storage on check out. Located in the perfect location to travel via bus or walk to the palace, do check out the coffee shop 100m to the left of the hotel she makes the perfect coffee, close to the cathedral and staff are all super nice excellent value for.money
I had a most enjoyable birthday in Granada. We chose our hotel for it's central location, car parking in the next building and its room with a view of the Alhambra. This Melia hotel offered a standard we have come to expect from the group and the superior room was spacious, well appointed and with a comfortable sitting area. The room offered wonderful views of the Alhambra and over the city towards the mountains. The hotel managed the needs demanded by the present pandemic and we felt all appropriate measures were taken. The reception staff were friendly and helpful further advising on a perfect restaurant overlooking the Alhambra for the birthday meal. A thoughtful touch from the hotel was a bottle of cava and two slices of a lovely cake presented in the room for my birthday. Overall experience made for a most enjoyable birthday. …
Fabulous hotel. Our room with balcony had pectacular views of the Alhambra. Very central location, the hop on hop off bus only yards away. The food was very good with a varied choice at breakfast. We ate in restaurant one one night again good choice. The Staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.
Travelled with my mum and my two daughters. Stayed in connecting rooms. The hotel is really well located - you can walk everywhere. Near to goods restaurants. Hotel is well maintained and very clean. Good a/c in the rooms. All staff super pleasant and helpful. Breakfast had great choice and good quality. There is a car park next door (very tight).
The hotel is in a really good location. Close to everything so that is a plus. The rooms are ok a bit updated bit clean and safe. Lobby is nice and the service is good. The breakfast a bit under the standards of the Melia chain. I will stay there again for sure
My husband and I travelled through Spain. We stayed at many different hotels. In Seville, Barcelona, Valencia etc. The Melia in Granada was terrible. Unfortunately, a horrible experience. Room was extremely small and run down. Toilet ran on. Air conditioning didn’t work But the worst was the staff in the service The café. I can’t describe how disappointed I was with their attitude, service and behaviour.
We’ve just completed our stay and it was mostly great. Excellent location: Easy to get to the hotel from the airport (the Alsa bus stops just around the corner), walkable to just about anywhere (touristy) in Granada and to the Granada train station. Good Service: Polite, efficient and could be a teeny bit warmer. We had Elda assist us with check-in and the process was very efficient. She sent us on our way to our room in no time. Staff were quick to accede to any requests we made (amenities) and very helpful with advice to make our visit a smooth one. Everyone could smile a little more :) Lovely Room: Small but sufficient and clean for a good night’s rest. The 20sqm felt a little tight for two with 4 luggages but we got by. We stayed on the 5th floor and are thankful because we could hear the parties downstairs every night. Bed was to our liking and we always woke up feeling refreshed. The direct view out of the window was the walls of the next building BUT if we popped our heads out a little more, wow - we got a view of Albaicin and the Alhambra. Loved it! On the other hand, the shower was a little too tight for comfort. The plastic shield didn’t keep the water from the shower out so that was quite a shame since it meant that the floor started flooding after two showers. Basic amenities like toothbrushes, shavers and combs are not provided so will need to call Housekeeping for assistance. Overall, it was a pretty good stay and would definitely return on my next visit to Granada. It’s such a charming place!…
Excellent location and welcoming staff makes this hotel very good for short stay. Price was also very good. The room’s forniture is a bit old and the wall are thin so we could hear the alarm and the voices of the people staying in the room close by. However the room was very clean and overall our stay was very good.
Just an OK place to stay. Beds were the least comfortable we had in a trip that had six hotels. Service was indifferent and sloppy. The first day we had soap and shampoo in the shower but the rest of the trip we had two shampoos and no soap and they would not respond.
Basic 4* city chain hotel. Room was very clean and has all you expect. Brakfast has great selection of all. Fresh fruits, eggs, cheese corner, a lot of different tipes of salami, ham, prosciutto, fresh juice .... even a churros. Location is great in the heart of lovely Granada, just short walk to Alhambra and other sites of interest. A lot of bars, restaurants ... nearby. Check-in was smooth and quick.
