The thing about this hotel is that it is beautifully unique You essentially rent an apartment inside the building and each one is different. From the small, with a shared bathroom, to the larger with ensuite and a kitchen. This is a quiet location to stay. It has a lovely roof terrace with stunning views of the Alhambra palace. Set...

I stayed here and met Rob at a set destination. He was there waiting and showed us to the apartment and around the area. There are brochures in the apartment and a cute guestbook! The place was beautiful and in a perfect location. I was thankful to meet Rob because when I go back to Granada I will definitely stay...

The house is located in the Albayzin - the historical Moorish district in Granada. The house has a lot of character, but at the same time it's all renovated, very clean and has everything you might need in your stay. There is a nice terrace on the roof with a magical view of Alhambra. I wish we visited in the...

I cannot wait to go back in 2 months! The home is absolutely perfectly located in the center of the old Moorish quarter with a gorgeous terrace, friendly hosts, clean rooms, and lovely ambiance. The suggestions provided for restaurants, cafes, and activities were spot on and really helped to make the first day acclimating to the city a breeze. This...

I stayed in one of the apartments on the ground floor for 3 days during my trip through Andalusia. I had a very nice welcome and received information/map of Granada on my arrival, which was very helpful. The flat was nicely decorated, had all necessary amenities and was super clean. Kitchen was small, but well equipped and you could cook...

I just got back from a two week stay in Granada in early august while studying Spanish. Stayed in apartment number 2 in El numero ocho and it was a perfect fit and the location is very good in the great Albayzin. Very clean and comfortable flat and despite the heat in town it remained cool in there and you...

We stayed in apartment 4 for three nights in the later part of July. The place suited us perfectly as I like unusual and different places to stay. With temperatures in the 40's you really noticed how much cooler it was inside the apartment. The terrace on the top of the building was really good to relax in the evening...

My boyfriend and I stayed four nights in El numero 8, our first time visiting Granada, and we really loved the place! The room was well furnished, clean, comfortable and cool (while it was around 30°C outside). The drinks and books available are a very nice touch. Plus the view to the Alhambra from the terrace is gorgeous. The street...

My mother an me stayed at the numero 8 for 2 nights. The location of the apartment is very nice in the old quarter Albayzin opposite hill of the Alhambra. On the rooftop terrace you have an astonishing view to the Alhambra. The apartment itself was downstairs what is quite good as it never gets hot. The furniture was nice...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
El Numero 8 is not a typical hotel. It is a traditional casa de vecinos separated into separate apartments located in the ancient Moorish area of Granada, the Albayzin. It is also our home that we share with travelers. It is a very tranquil place to stay and we ask our guests to come with respect for the house and for the neighborhood which is all pedestrian and very quiet for being right in the center of the city of Granada. ... more   less

“we saw two of the rooms. They are not that large but more than comfortable and with the spectacular rooftop terrace overlooking the alhambra, there is no reason to be in the apartments except to sleep or take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen before bringing your meal to the roof!”
