My husband and I enjoyed a week last January in Hotel Roc Lago Rojo and we have now booked again for next January. The location is excellent for a winter holiday especially for older couples who like to avoid hills but enjoy nice long walks...More

Please do NOT request 'all inclusive' as the food is definitely not good there. There are lots of lovely restaurants right next to the hotel and all very reasonable. Breakfast is fine with lots of choices. You'll find it difficult to get a cup and saucer though!! lol!! Our rooms had three steps down to the sitting area and veranda door which were a nightmare if you forgot and missed a step. I found it difficult to get into the bath to have a shower as there was a wall outside the side of the bath which made it wider to stretch your leg to get in. I managed fine though, but I did have to be careful. The bath is not slippy so okay getting out. There are lifts and a lovely area on the roof to sit in peace and quiet. The swimming pool is a joke and no one swims in it or very few anyway. The sea is across the road but has rough waves and though I did swim there I found it dangerous, very shifty sand there too. Have a lovely holiday but eat out please.
