Situated in a highly praised location near Old Town with convenient beach access, Amare Beach Hotel Marbella garners acclaim for its clean, modern rooms, often boasting stunning sea views. While the attentive staff and a plethora of amenities are celebrated, a few guests have experienced slow service during peak times and overcrowding at the spa. The atmosphere is occasionally marred by loud, repetitive music for some visitors, and opinions on value are mixed due to additional costs. Despite these concerns, the variety and quality of features, including the spacious rooms and entertainment options, contribute to a satisfying stay for many travelers.

We arrived as couples for 3 nights. Hotel is beautiful, rooms are lovely everything we needed for a break away. Service was brilliant. Breakfast had the best Gluten-free selection I’ve ever seen and lovely touch having the cava 🥂 we will definitely use the Amare chain again 😎

The hotel is New modern design and is certainly towards 4/5 stars.
We were greeted well and staff were very attentive to ensure our stay was going to be a pleasant one.
All hotel areas are kept immaculately clean with the staff working hard to maintain all public areas and we felt totally safe with regards to COVID protection.
The breakfast was set out well with loads of choice from healthy options to fried options, omletts were my favourite however, on some occasions I had to que for a while with only one chef cooking them.
When we went for breakfast on my wife’s 50th they made a fuss of her which was very nice.
All staff were very polite particularly the girls when they take you to your sun beds. I enjoyed the crack with them each morning and they were always asking if we were enjoying our stay. On the Mrs birthday a couple of them came to her and wished her a happy birthday nice touch and proves you are employing the correct staff who put the hotels users first.
On sun beds the only issue I have is the 30 minute rule I believe this should be extended to 1 hour to allow time for you to get lunch not just in the hotel but also the old town which we also came to enjoy.
I witnessed some towels being removed when some other beds were free I see this as a pointless task for your staff which will result in upset customers and confrontation when this can be avoided.
Maybe to many large sun loungers if some were removed and replaced with smaller ones then during peak times there will be no issues with hotel occupancy and available beds.
Staff around the pool and beach bar never stopped the buzzer on the bed is a great idea but not explained to everyone resulting in customers pressing it several times because they had to wait a while in busy periods.
The vibe around the beach is great we enjoyed the DJ’s and live artists.
We went up to the roof top bar several times and again enjoyed the DJ’s and sunsets but the drinks are pricey.
Overall great hotel, great location for the old town and a short walk to Marbella Marina. If I return to Marbella I would look to stay here again.

Thank you very much for the review! We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Amàre Marbella and liked the vibe at our beach club and at Amàre Pool. Great to see you had a nice celebration of your wife's 50th bday with us :) Apologies for the queues at the omelettes - we are working on solutions to improve in this sense. Regarding the sun beds, we did have less this season due to covid restrictions but fortunately we aren't having waiting lists there anymore and we expect the issue not to happen again next season. Hoping to have you back very soon! Kind Regards, Marta Álvarez Deputy Manager

We arrived on Friday 13th March 2020 for a three night stay . This was the weekend that Spain had the crisis with coronovirus and began the enforced shutdown . Despite their own problems , the staff still showed a fantastic attitude and provided a first class service with excellent food and drinks in their restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is modern and stylish in a great location very near to the beach , the old town and bus stops.

We wish all the staff well for what is a worrying time for them but are confient that when the virus has gone , tourists will fill this fantastic hotel to capacity

The views from the room and proximity to the beach, restaurants and old town make up for the hit and miss service.

I understand that everyone is getting to grips with new Covid-19 procedures, but to have to repeatedly ask for hand wash in the room and finically receive it on day 4 of a 5 night stay is unacceptable, along with being accused of using the wrong access card when it stopped working. This was balanced off with great service from some of the restaurant staff, Jesus in particular.

I would say that the food was average, but again understand this is probably due to the current challenges. We ended up eating our most nights.

Was it worth the €400 a night we paid (albeit this was for half board)... absolutely not and I would probably stay somewhere else next time.

Dear Bekki_Amy, Thank you for your review and sharing your experience with other travellers. We constantly strive to provide our guests with the highest level of product and service and I would like to apologize for not being up to the standard on this occasion. We implemented many security and safety procedures due to COVID19 but this should not negatively impact the gastronomic experience at Amàre. Regarding the comments about the service and the incident with the room key card I would like to apologize and would love you to contact me to better understand. We really appreciate your loyalty and honesty taking this matter to our attention and while I can well understand that you were not inspired by this incident, I hope that you give us the opportunity to redeem ourselves in the near future. Please do not hesitate to contact me personally and I will ensure the utmost level of care. My email is dep.director.am@amarehotels.com Best regards from Marbella! Ane Deputy General Manager.

Lovely clean tidy fresh hotel, small pool but enough for it being a small adult only hotel. The breakfast and choice in the morning is exquisite and definitely five star. Towel cards are given to you and you can exchange these for a towel that you keep throughout your duration and you Can swap it for a fresh one at any time. There is a private beach attached to the hotel however we found many families would come down and set up on the beach which was a little frustrating when you booked an adult only holiday. If I had to grumble about anything it would be two things, firstly the staff on the front desk very short and abrupt with you, I almost feel quite Judgementall given it’s a five star hotel if you don’t look the part and draped in design a gear you would be forgiven for thinking that you were being judged.

And lastly the spa, yes you get one free session in the spa when you book this comprises of a steam room a hot tub and a plunge pool, it’s mediocre we stayed in there for about 10 minutes dirty towels thrown all over the place I can see why they give the service for free. The hotel is in a nice position for local amenities the rooftop bar is incredibly expensive at around €15 for a drink so avoid that if you want Valley for money with drinks.

Having now stayed there once probably wouldn’t go back only because I feel you could get much more value for money at another hotel, i’ve given it four stars largely based on the cleanliness and the rooms because that was outstanding and cannot be faulted.

Hello Miami Beach reincarnated in Marbella! Lots of Excellent things about this place... directly on the beach, in a fabulous location in Marbella, Very chic all white theme with hits of bright colors all around, Fantastic breakfast with Excellent fresh squeezed orange juice and lastly, I would highly recommend booking early and splurging for "the ooh la la room". There aren't many of these rooms, so reserve early!!! Ok... now a few points that aren't quite as perfect. The customer service at this place isn't truly phenomenal. (With the huge exception of Jullian who goes above and beyond every single day for you at the bar near the pool and at the breakfast place outside of the hotel. He really was such a Wonderful man and he did everything possible for us.) The other thing I honestly don't understand is why would such a high end resort that caters to very wealthy clients, NOT have Nespresso machines in the rooms?? They have 19 th century kettles!! Don't understand that one bit. Overall, Very beautiful resort, Excellent location, Beautiful ooh la la room with less than phenomenal customer service from the majority of the staff. That is my honest and very fair assessment.

The whole all stay at Amare Beach was wonderful. Marbella was on my bucket list and have to stay didn’t disappoint. I travelled with my sister for a 4 night stay. We stayed half board and the food was amazing from breakfast at the buffet style restaurant to the restaurant on the beach front for dinner. Katie hostess.of the evening restaurant and towels in the day was so lovely and friendly. I choose this hotel as I liked the choose on being able to have direct beach access.

We like the way that in the morning the trowel attendance will take you with your towel to your chosen sun lounger whether it’s pool or beach side. Great idea as no one or can reserve sun loungers. Maybe more hotels should come up with this idea.
In the corner of the pool is a double bed style sun lounger that the life guard set up as being used, with towels, champagne etc. This isn’t the case and tbh was actually pointless and actually doesn’t get approached cause people think it’s in use.
You can get pool service by a buzzer machine that is by your lounger throughout the day. On some days the service was very slow or wasn’t answered at all so end up pressing more than once.

The room was absolutely beautiful with an amazing view and complimentary toiletries shower gel, Molton Brown, conditioner, shaving kit, tooth brush.
The drinks and snacks are not included and no price list is shown it’s on the QR code which is a little naughty personally. I purchased soft drinks from the supermarket next door and placed in the mini fridge as half the price. On floor -2(pool and beach) is a water machine you can refill your water bottle which is great.

The hotel is in a great location being right on the beach and 5 min walk to the old town which is absolutely beautiful and buzzing with atmosphere. If we weren’t half board would of definitely have gone for dinner there.
Just to be aware to access any menu on site is though a QR code. Wi-Fi on site is really good.
Would definitely return to this hotel.

Well worth the money. Great location on the promenade/beach with easy walk to the old town. High level of excellent service. Great sized rooms with excellent sea view on the high floor-we were on Level 7 room 708 side sea view-seemed like full sea view to me! Excellent breakfast. They actually enforce the pool policy of not reserving lounges with towels and remove them after 30 mins. This was great to see as didn't have to get up early to get a spot. Would not hesitate to recommend

We found the Amare Beach Hotel a very clean hotel and probably one of the best placed Hotels within walking distance of Marbella Old Town, it has its own Amare Beach Restaurant with food and drinks under shade or sun beds on the beach. Sun beds cannot be pre-reserved and any sunbed unattended on the beach or by the swimming pool for more than 30 minutes is deemed free to use by other residents. Hotel towels claimed with your 'Towel Card' being the only way to claim a sunbed, all this is continually watched over by attentive staff.
Generally we found the hotel very good in every respect especially the freshly squeezed Orange juice every morning. Generally we thought the food & service was good but could have been slightly better for our evening meals where you are made to scan a drinks mat and go online on your phone to see what special dishes they are offering that evening, we found this irritating due to the website being slow and because we did not find it conducive to a lovely evening meal (Yes we did ask for a menu only to be told to scan the drinks mat). Other than that the hotel gave us an excellent break and good service.

Well it was a very clean hotel BUT they may as well put a tag on u when arrive so they no when u leave the hotel.
Our breakfast slot was 9am and the pool area opened at 9am so we had to queue up to get pool towel and be shown to sunbed , once u get your sunbed u are not aloud to leave it for more than 30 minutes or your towels are removed. There is no way u can leave the pool area get to the restaurant queue up for a table then queue up for eggs to be cooked eat your breakfast then your fruit then have a cup of coffee and get back to your sun bed in 30 minutes so on many cations our towels as been removed .
By 10am all beds had been taken so we spoke to reception about it and they more or less said tough that’s the rule.
If you leave your sunbed in the afternoon for more than 60 minutes your towels are removed .
They do this rule as there’s more quests than Sunbeds.
Breakfast is lovely but evening meal is dreadful.
This was our second visit first was perfect as they never had sunbed rule but this year was definitely not a relaxing holiday so no we will definitely NOT stay here again which we told reception.

Dear Allan, thank you very much for the review. We are glad you liked the cleanliness of the hotel. We are very sorry for the inconveniences caused with the sun beds, due to current covid restrictions we have less sun beds than in previous seasons, which together with the high occupancy rates in August has led to some waiting time to get a sunbed at some points in the day. Fortunately the situation is now normalised since the start of September :) Hope you have the chance to visit us again very soon, Best regards, Marta Álvarez Deputy Manager.
