Detailed Reviews
Stayed with adult family in September, in two connecting deluxe rooms overlooking the pool and gardens and providing lovely views and sunrise. The rooms are large, with big balcony's, huge bathroom, immaculately clean and we didn't experience any issues with the air conditioning (as some have mentioned in the reviews below).
The hotel and gardens were spotless throughout, and there's an amazing sense of peace and relaxation. Everything is catered for you to unwind, whether you want to use the spa, the gym, rounds of golf, lazy days around the pool on the comfortable loungers (with pool bar service and wonderful cocktails), relax on your room balcony or indulge in the restaurants or bars. Food and drink is excellent quality, we loved the food and wine menu at the Sunsa Restaurant. Breakfast was served in the Club House restaurant, which has a lovely setting overlooking the golf course, its good for lunch, dinner or snacks here too as its open until late in the evening.
If you feel the need to leave the hotel, Puerto Banus is only a 10 minute taxi ride away and there are also some excellent restaurants in the surrounding area (our favourite was El Gammonal). The hotel has underground parking for those using cars and its super convenient for travelling and exploring further afield as its only about a 10 minute drive to the motorway.
The hotel team were fantastic - everybody was very professional, welcoming and friendly, but a big special mention goes to Augustin and Santos for their outstanding service. We've already booked to return again this summer and absolutely can't wait!

This hotel was booked as part of a golf package and our room was directly over the entrance. Despite this we had no issues with noise and slept soundly.
The hotel is clean with we had a spacious room and balcony. Complimentary bottled water is included in the room.
The hotel location is quiet and away from the busy nearby towns.
The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle bus to both Puerto Banus and Old Marbella.
Bus departs at several times during the day. The last bus returns at 8:30pm ish
We ate breakfast each morning at the buffet which had a good variety.
We played 3 rounds of golf in great weather. The courses are very good and a challenge for all levels

We arrived at the resort early on Good Friday and no one helped us with our luggage and we had to take it into the rooms ourselves. A lovely resort in a quiet location that had nice facilities. You would need a car to go anywhere like Marbella old town, Puente Romano and Puerto Banus. It takes about 15-20 mins and the taxi costs about 15 Euros each way. So if you're wanting to do other things than stay at the hotel then you might want to consider an alternative hotel and location. The rooms were a good size and clean but like a previous reviewer said they are showing the age. The staff were friendly and the service was decent. The breakfast staff were the best and the ones at the clubhouse where we had lunch sometimes. The service at dinner was appalling when we chose to dine there one night. We waited ages for someone to take our order and the manager who took our order actually forgot my meal. The whole meal we had to get their attention and the food on that menu was very similar to that of the clubhouse. I think it should be totally different, in that way it gives us a variety rather than repetition.
We never ate at the pool so I ma not aware of what they would have. The golf was great. The men and boys had an awesome time playing golf.
The spa wasn't special but you can only use it for free if you had a treatment there or its 18 Euros per person. I think it should be free to all hotel guests. The sauna and steam room weren't' that hot. I managed to have two massages while I was there as I have a very poorly shoulder. Both the massage therapists were brilliant. Blanca who did my massage the second time really has helped my shoulder leaps and bounds. It is so much better than it was. Thank you so much Blanca for helping my shoulder. I am in less agony and I will definitely do the stretches you told me to do. I would definitely come to have a massage next time I am there. I need to find someone like her here in the UK.
I think the resort definitely suits golfers and maybe very young families.

My husband and I and our two children booked to stay in the hotel for 7 nights. We booked a deluxe room, which is advertised as being suitable for 4 people. It was therefore surprising and hugely disappointing to find that the room had two queen sized beds - which was fine for our young children but way to small for two adults. Moreover, the bed creaked everytime we turned, so we were all woken in the night.
We found a hair bobble under the bed - clearly from a previous guest, which meant that the room had not been cleaned adequately before our arrival. Considering that we are living in COVID times this is clearly a health and safety issue!
There was no turn down service in the evening and our room was still not cleaned until 3pm the next day.
We had also chosen this hotel as they advertise a kids club, however we were not made aware this there is an additional charge of 30€ for 3 hours.
No kettle, tea, coffee or cups were available in the room.
Inadequate toiletries for a family of 4.
For what is ‘advertised’ as a 5* hotel, we expected a lot more!

This hotel does not have air conditioning in their rooms! There are many other reviews on here and other platforms that voice this concern as well. AVOID THIS HOTEL!
We stayed four uncomfortable nights in peak August summer. They moved us to another room, but the "air conditioning" was still the same in the new room - non existent.
The first night, an employee came up to our room and said that it was warm and the air conditioning was not functioning properly. The employee called the engineer at 1am to wake him up to check the system. The engineer came to our room the next morning and confirmed our suspicion. He opened the ceiling to inspect the unit, and when asked what the issue was, he said it was only on fan setting and not on cool. We left for the day, and came back to find the room still not properly cooled. We spoke with someone, but then had to wait another night to finally speak with the manager.
We finally got a fan in our room for the third night after speaking to the manager, and requesting it multiple times. But now, we're staying at 5 star resort, paying 5 star prices with a fan in our room. This is a basic request that if provided the first day could have helped easily remedy an issue your guests were having. But the staff didn't take our concern seriously and were rude in the process. They comped our dinner for the first night, but I much rather would have paid for dinner, and have slept comfortable for four nights - more should have been done.
They have an issue with the air conditioning in the rooms at this hotel. It's a fan only - it's not proper air conditioning.
Honestly, it's the last thing I wanted to be doing during our vacation. We specifically chose this hotel because we knew it was going to be hot in Marbella in August and wanted a 5 star Bonvoy experience that we knew would have good air conditioning. However, the experience turned out to be the exact opposite.
Moreover, my nationality was disrespected and insulted multiple times by the manager and other staff, and I wasted multiple hours every day during my vacation discussing this.
I’ve stayed at multiple other 5 star Bonvoy Hotels, and this hotel is not 5 star.

A very nice stay of 4 nights in June in order to enjoy a short break during the pandemic. In the middle of golf courses and not far from Marbella, this resort is perfect if you're a golf player! Beautiful pool surrounded by tropical gardens, this resort is really a 5* hotel. Of course you will enjoy all the amenities you can expect from such an hotel. Nice room on the last floor with terrace & view on the pool and the gardens. (Upgrade to superior room with Elite status)
Breakfasts taken outside on the terrace, buffet with limited circulation due to the pandemic, mask mandatory inside the hotel.
Peaceful during this period (25% of the max capacity), so a good place to return

The hotel was not too big, fairly traditional, nothing swanky but clean tidy, well looked after. We went for a Panoramic Deluxe bedroom as the feedback seemed to suggest the standard rooms weren’t brilliant, so I would definitely recommend this. Bathrooms not super modern but loads of space, clean and everything you needed. Great view from the balcony. The food was an absolute highlight, really lovely lots of nice fresh things. We ate in the resturant every night.
Excellent service, nothing was too much trouble.
The golf is 3 9’s, all interesting, not too long but lots of hazards and great views, course and greens very well looked after.. its not about hitting it miles but about being accurate, or sort of! The driving range overlooks the motorway so although the blurb suggests the hotel is up in the hills which it is, it’s still very built up, but that’s the same for the whole of the Costa. It didn’t matter to us as the golf courses are all in great locations, and the view from the hotel didn’t include the motorway which is down in the valley (you can’t hear it either).
All the courses were very well organized and because we went slightly out of season it wasn’t slow even though we went out as a two ball everytime.
We didn't use the spa, however as previous guests have said I think the spa should be free for hotel guests.

Close to Marbella, the Westin La Quinta Golf Resort & Spa is the best place to stay!
It's a luxury hotel in a small paradise with very good service and great amenities. You get all of your needs met here; from having a nice room that looks out over the pool area to getting excellent food and drinks at their restaurants as well as having access to three bars located throughout the resort.
The Westin La Quinta employees are by far the most helpful!! From check-in to waiters to golf employees to cleaners, they were wonderfully contributive, and that is what separates 4 and 5 stars.
I would also sincerely thank Ms. Paola Waschbusch "Front Office Manager" for her outstanding service and great job !
If you're looking to have a vacation stay with great views of the mountains and the sea, I highly recommend this place! (for anyone looking for some peace of mind while travelling... then this resort might be just what you need).
There was nothing I could criticise. First Class ! We'll be coming back soon :-)

Great hotel from top to bottom.
Has everything you need onsite so you can stay self contained.
Breakfast was the highlight for me with Sayora providing super friendly , exceptional service. The chef also contributed with well prepared and nicely presented meals.
Loved the pool, the views, the layout.
2 small areas of improvement:
The aircon didnt go cool enough,
The refrigerator in my room was far to small and didnt cool properly.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We booked for a week here. The hotel location is okay, not terribly impressive, but quiet enough. Our room had a view of the Mediterranean (in the distance), but lost the sun from the balcony midday. The rooms are comfortable, the bed is very nice (our main reason to book a Westin hotel, as their beds are really good). A bit of a narrow shower, but overall the bathroom works well. The sounds of neighboring rooms can be heard easily, especially if the balcony doors are open.
We had dinner a few times, the in-house restaurant offers really high quality food, with attention for healthy food. The bar is a bit dated in terms of furniture, would be nice if they would upgrade this a bit, but it offers sufficient collection of drinks. We played three rounds of golf, and the golf restaurant had similarly good food. A challenging course, with plenty of fun, even though it is not the most beautiful course in the region.
A special comment for the staff f the hotel. Irrespective of where you are, everyone is very friendly, has a great customer service attitude and is personal enough to feel welcome as a guest. Our compliments to this team of hardworking people.
Finally we had one session in the Spa. again, very friendly staff, and Theresa is a very skilled massage therapist.
