In the start of June, my girlfriend and I spend an enjoyable couple of nights at La Francesa. We were met with warmth and forgiveness for our poor Spanish as we were shown to our beautiful room - kept to a very high standard, very clean and obviously newly refurbished. The bathroom fittings in particular were very high quality. The... More

Delightful couple keen to help with any information. We loved it so much we cancelled our plans to leave (even though we had paid for another hotel) and stayed on. Wonderful setting for breakfast. We were touched to receive a lovely welcome with glasses of cava and nibbles. Full of character. Will return one day.

We stayed for 5 nights in room 4 at La Francesca. Even though we booked last minute the night before Anna was there to greet us on arrival with a glass of cava and some olives. She gave us lots of information about the area and the buses into Malaga. There is also a lot of information in the lobby... More

room was very clean - part of an addition to the original house in 2009. picture of the room is a little deceptive because it is actually smaller that it appears. the breakfast each day was a typical continental one with 5 choices each day. very filling, everything was very fresh with endless coffee or tea. owners were very nice... It’s worth repeating; everything about the La Francesca is charming. The hosts, the staff, the gardens, the décor, and the doggies. Words fail to describe just how charming Anna is. Her grace under pressure, welcoming ceremony, manner of dress and conversation, and choices of design usually exist only at a larger hotel costing far more. But that is not to... More

In need of some R&R we were looking forward to a peaceful getaway at La Francesca after reading the previous reviews. On the plus side, the property itself is lovely and the rooms are large, clean and nicely decorated. Our bathroom was modern and spacious with a lovely big walk in shower. The garden is beautiful and bursting with life... More

A little relaxed retreat with a beautiful garden, nicely furbished rooms and a great hostess.. Its a long but nice walk along the sea to the old town of Malaga (bus is possible) Its however a few minutes from the "hangoutandrelax" beach of el Palo, with plenty of nice small restaurants, grilled fish and Andalucian Sun..

My husband and I stayed at La Francesa for one night in early October en route back from Granada. We arrived via public transport from Granada via Malaga bus station. We spent a week at La Francesa in September and had a fantastic time. The house and garden are enchanting and very peaceful, the room (we were at the Belle Epoque) spacious, clean and beautifully decorated, the bed comfortable and the hosts very friendly and unobtrusive. You can tell that they love the place and put a lot of effort... More

“La Mer and La Belle Époque are both lovely rooms with patios, but the latter is much more spacious. They are both on the side of the B&B next to the nursery next door, so if you are particularly sensitive to the sound of children, be aware of this. For us, it was not an issue. Other reviewers have also mentioned dogs at the B&B. We never heard or saw a dog during our entire 6-day stay.”
