This was the perfect site for a writing retreat. It would also be wonderful for any kind of a getaway. The food was exquisite (I am vegan and they went out of their way to accommodate me). Everyone was kind and helpful. All office personnel spoke excellent English. Grounds were magnificent. Lovely pool, tennis courts, etc. We held a writing... More

If you really want to experience the Andalusian lifestyle, culture and tradition, this is the hotel to stay at. We had a car and that made it easy for us to stay here. The hotel is located up the mountain, about 16 km from Malaga, so easy access is not a strong point. But... the hotel is made up of... More

We stayed here for three nights before we went to our villa. It took about 40 minutes from Malaga airport to get here, up a winding mountain road. My goodness, what a find I am so glad I booked here. When we arrived it was quite late so there seemed to be hardly anyone around my husband and the teenage... More

Very nice hotel with specific flair of old Spanish hacienda located quite far away of civilization. Very good local Spanish food in the restaurant in the evening. We had problem with water in the morning. Water is provided by tank car. We had to wait almost half a day for water. No towels for swimming pool were available and breakfast... More

A wonderful find just up the "mountain" from city center Malaga. This is a great get-away from it all location. Rustic, quiet, friendly and helpful staff, well-prepared food, (had dinner and breakfast) and a nice house wine. The sunrise, with the mountains in view, was stunning. There are 3 walking trails - mapped out, on paper and with trail blazes... More

This hotel lies lovely in the mountain area to the north of Malaga. The views are astonishing and the terrace is beautiful. The rooms are old with not all facilities expected from a four-star hotel, like a fridge, available. The swimming pool is excellent.

We found a lot to like at this rural hotel on the edge of the Montes de Malaga national park, but there are several things that need improvement before could recommend with confidence. If you are looking to get out of town, this is the place for you. It's on the A7000, about 17 kilometers south of Colmenar on the... More

This is a very nice, small hotel - a characterful old building set in nice grounds, tucked away on a hill outside above Malaga (though the drive is bumpy and awful). The restaurant is very good and the staff are excellent - all seem to speak good English too. It's the kind of hotel that would be great for a... More

Good choice for us for ending our 2-weeks vacation through Andalucia, though the road up the hill is quite curvaceous. Be sure to have a good navi! (Once You found the right country road, it`s marked well). The well decorated interior is a treat for the eyes.Good food, but a bit too expensiv. Enjoyed the round-hiking-trail up the hill, marked... We arrived later in the evening at this hotel, after having 'fled' the hotel we originally booked (because of bugs in the rooms, eehhhhww!). Because of our experience with the former hotel, we wanted to check the room first, and that was no problem at all; the staff were very friendly and helpful. Also, the restaurant was only opened till... More
