Clean & tidy rooms in a lovely building located in the middle of Leipzig. The breakfast is pretty good and I really appreciated the quality customer service in English. Will definitely book again when visiting the city. I stayed in a small room where they had installed the shower in a smart way without messing up the humidity inside the room.

Nice reception at the reception. The room was small and spartan, unfortunately not inviting or cozy at all. After all, a rather expensive hotel and then I expect more. Open bathroom in the room was not appreciated. The rooftop bar was visited but there the staff were incredibly nonchalant and the drinks were extremely expensive, not worth it by a long shot. The breakfast was disappointing by German standards as you often get fantastic breakfasts in Germany. The location was good within walking distance to the center and parking was available in a parking garage nearby. Not returning.

The only hotel i Europe we had booket for our holday in july 2020, that would not refound our payment, as we could not travel to Germany according to our gouvernments rules according to Corona regulations. Rest of the Hotels we had booket in Praha, several hotels in Polen and Sweden was all willing to make full refound. We believe this showes the "Hotel additude". The bigger "chain hotels" was a lot easier to communicate with and did not hassitate to make a refound. (:

Very nice hotel! Right in the center, opposite the Thomaskirche (the Martin Luther Ring runs through it). The Market and shopping center start immediately behind it. All sights are within walking distance.
The Ring is busy and with an open window it is noisy at night. However, windows are well insulated, so you can sleep peacefully with the window closed.
Breakfast is well taken care of, rooms are not particularly large, but have everything you would expect. TV available (unfortunately not interactive).
The roof terrace (sometimes with a live DJ) with music is large and offers a cool view over Leipzig.
Hotel has its own parking garage, 100 meters away. It is expensive (€28 per day), but only 50m away there is a large public garage (also reported to reception) for only €10 per day......!
The hotel is not cheap, so I don't think the price/quality ratio is great, but this is probably mainly due to the perfect location of the hotel.
If you have the money and are willing to spend a nice weekend in Leipzig, this hotel is definitely a good idea!

Our headline is "was okay" because that's the feeling we're going home with.
First of all, a few basic things: the hotel itself is tidy and well located.
There are a lot of positive things mentioned in the reviews, but I would like to address a few things here that I haven't read much about:
1. For a four-star hotel, the rooms are not clean enough. On the surface, everything is fine, but if you look more closely, you can see a lot of dirt. Especially in the shower. The fittings are calcified and encrusted (especially the shower head). The drain, which you can see into, hasn't been cleaned for ages. Although I wouldn't leave the responsibility here to the room attendant, as I think this is due to the time given for cleaning.
2. Whether the staff are friendly is more of a gamble. We had rather unpleasant experiences at breakfast. The only person who was consistently friendly was the lady at the priority desk at reception. She was also the only employee who was dressed reasonably smartly. many employees walk around here in baggy T-shirts, which I honestly don't think is appropriate. These days, a lot of things are very relaxed, and I'm totally on board with that. But with some things, especially when you're paying a lot of money, I think employees should also be properly dressed, and above all, should be recognizable. It's easy to lose track of who is an employee and who is a guest. I'm not a square, but that's going too far even for me.
3. The bed is comfortable, but I think it's a shame that there were only two small blankets instead of one big one.
4. The parking garage is extremely narrow, you have to be a bit of adept to get into the furthest parking space. What's a shame, and I expect a lot more from a hotel like this, is that the charging stations in the parking garage don't work. The reception said that the station hadn't been maintained since it was installed seven years ago and therefore no longer works. I think a hotel has to be able to get that right, especially when you consider the horrendous price of the underground car park.
5. I think the breakfast is much too expensive for what you get. This may sound like complaining at a high level, but when you pay almost €30 for breakfast, I expect something like salmon or for the coffee to be brought to your table. I had to queue for several minutes at the coffee machine several times while my food got cold on the table. I think that's a shame.
6. The hallways are covered with a kind of laminate (as are the rooms), which makes the entire hallway and the rooms very thin, and you can hear a lot from the rooms above and from the hallway. I think that's a shame.
Finally, the rooms are reasonably spacious and seem tidy. If you take the details of this review into account, you can book the hotel for two nights in the city. However, we would think twice about coming again (and we are high status customers).
We didn't visit the spa and gym area, so we can't comment on that.

Fine young hotel in the centre of Leibzig.
The Innside of the Melia Group hotel in Leibzig is a young and hipster location. The rooms are fine. Good service. Friendly reception. Breakfast included and fine. The protection because of the corvid virus 🦠 is special. All we’ll handled. The parking is a challenge.

Lovely hotel, very modern, clean and top quality. Very high standard.. eg excellent coffee facilities. Dog friendly, offering dog bed
Very friendly and professional.. the waiter in the downstairs bar was amazing.
As we had a dog we had breakfast in our room. All beautifully presented and freshly prepared . Superb
Location is right in the town centre. The price you pay is very reasonable for the quality you get

The hotel is nice, the staff friendly and the location great. However, there are also things that could be improved, measured against that for the actual power m. E. at high price, because the promised did not quite fit what was on offer.
Location: absolutely perfect. Close to the main train station and within walking distance
Kindness: Top. Everyone was helpful.
Rooms: functional, pleasant, but not necessarily particularly nice considering the hotel category and room type.
Cleanliness: superficially good, but on arrival stains in the bath, juice residue in the fridge, dust on the floor (my black socks were “white” on arrival in a short time - a few minutes - on the sole).
Air conditioning: very pleasant.
Breakfast: good but lively atmosphere, hectic staff, exhausted guests, that was not cozy for a start to the day.
Wi-Fi: was offered. Net in the room misrepresentation. Undetectable. In the breakfast room it went. But there's less use of it. I think that's better. You're happy when you don't have to.
Bar/ roof terrace: Wasn't allowed in. I went upstairs in the elevator with a group of 4 non-house guests. The reception passed me by and immediately gave the four gentlemen behind me a seat. Then the gentleman came back and told me that the bar was full and I had to leave again. Individual house guests seemingly unwanted? Two ladies after me should wait, there would be something available in a moment. If you can do so, however, the individual houseguest also remembers. Beautiful.
Price / performance: For around 780 € for 2 nights for 1 person, price and performance unfortunately do not quite match. Very sporty price for an acceptable decent performance, which unfortunately did not meet expectations after the offer and in the price segment. If I compare similar category hotels in comparable cities, I have had better experiences with fewer “errors”.
Am undecided if I would book this hotel again next time. A lot is great, some is not quite as pleasing. At a price more appropriate to actual performance, perhaps yes. It's hard to say. I wasn't worth it this time, though.

We travelled to Leipzig for the first time this summer. The Innside by Melia is a trendy hotel very central, located right next to Thomas Church and the Bach Museum and exudes a youthful-casual style.
The rooms are clean and functional with very comfortable bed and air conditioning. We slept divinely in the hot summer days.
The absolute highlight of the hotel is the roof terrace. Had we known how well it is visited on sunny evenings and that seating for our own hotel guests is almost impossible to get, we would probably have booked a reservation in the far left corner earlier. Up front, the DJ can make it very loud that you no longer understand his word. But that gives it a Mediterranean flair, albeit far from the sea.
Breakfast offered a wide range of fresh delicacies, but unfortunately the ambience is very clean and the acoustics in the room could be improved (it's loud).
The rooms were clean and well maintained, even if the cleaning was forgotten once from the 3 nights.
Conclusion: There is room for improvement but we would come back and this probably has to do with the location and cleanliness.
