Located directly opposite the historic train station, this hotel is an historic building in its own right.
Our welcome was friendly and professional from an impeccably dressed young man who checked us in efficiently. All of the receptionists we dealt with in the two days we were there were similarly professional.
The hotel dates from 1913 but is Art Deco themed. Everything, down to the smallest detail, is elegant. The restaurant, where the vast breakfast buffet is served, is a must for any train enthusiast, as it is tastefully train themed.
We were intending to stay just one night but liked it so much, we ended up staying two. Our first night we stayed in a standard room on the 2nd floor and in fact, this was the room we preferred. Large, with a spacious angled bathroom, it was spotlessly clean, well appointed and beautifully furnished with Art Deco flourishes. The furniture is all solid wood. We loved that it came with a complimentary bottle of water. There was a fridge and a safe. And thankfully it had air conditioning that worked well as it was hot outside.
On our second night there were no rooms left in our price category so we moved to a superior room on the 4th floor. It was actually a bit smaller than our first room but had a few extras: nicer toiletries, a bathrobe and slippers, an espresso machine. We also would have had access to the wellness area but at 30 degrees that wasn’t something we felt like! A bit of a strange layout: the bathroom is right there as soon as you enter the room, without any walls! The sink is right next to the door. The toilet, I’m glad to say, is separate (and in a room of its own) though.
Both rooms were very quiet.
This hotel is the ideal base for exploring this surprisingly attractive and historically interesting city which is only a few steps away. Highly recommended.

Perfectly located and comfortable Hotel in Leipzig.
I do not agree with the idea to avoid cleaning the room. I can agree with asking the guest about the change of towels, but the room should be cleaned every day unless specifically requested by the guest.

The room was very attractively furnished and reasonably spacious. The breakfast was excellent. The location of the hotel is very good for a city trip: the train station is opposite and the sights of the city center can be reached on foot in just a few minutes

The Seaside Parkhotel is located opposite Leipzig Central Station, directly on Nikolai-Straße with very good, walking connections to Leipzig city center. The hotel facilities meet the four-star standard. It is very pleasant that dogs are welcome in the hotel.
The rooms are tastefully furnished, the beds comfortable.
Superior rooms are equipped with a coffee machine (Illy capsule machine). Standard rooms have neither a coffee machine nor a kettle. The latter is offered in many hotels of the same or lower category. The mini-bar in all rooms must be booked, otherwise it remains empty. Very unusual for me, but easy to cope with, as there are enough shops near the hotel. In addition, the bar is open all day and offers a good selection of drinks.
However, some points marred my stay (four nights in a superior double room and four nights in a standard single room) and ultimately led to my rating. The service concept was not equally well received by all employees. One evening we returned to the hotel, admittedly only around 1 a.m., the bar was still busy and looked open, but there was no bartender behind the bar, so I asked at reception if the bar was still open and the receptionist replied: "I don't know."
When changing rooms, I paid my bill for the double room in the morning and asked if it was already possible to find out which standard single room I could move into in the afternoon (after the late checkout), perhaps I didn't have to take my luggage to reception first. The answer was: "Then come back later."
My criticism here is expressly not about the content of the communication, it is completely understandable that a receptionist does not know about the opening times of the bar and also that the receptionist cannot see at 9 a.m. which room is intended for the later room change. My criticism is expressly directed at the manners. Simple polite phrases should be a matter of course in a hotel that obviously thinks so highly of itself. However, I would like to expressly mention that some employees have mastered these etiquettes very well, while others apparently do not.
One last point, the hotel offers an automated parking garage, but according to the website, this has a limited capacity and must be operated by the parking attendant. (The reception does not ask whether you have arrived by car and would like to book a parking space). Various parking garages in the area are listed as alternative options, including the Q-Park Forum am Brühl, located right next to the hotel. I recommend paying attention to the parking fees of the listed parking garages. In the Q-Park you pay 50.00 euros per day. A note on the hotel website would be desirable.

Good stay in this traditional hotel, but the reception at reception was strange, it wasn't full, I was the only guest at that moment, the employee, Mr Kühne, seemed unfriendly, handed me the room card without saying much, no information about breakfast, no information about the wellness area, the restaurant or anything else. Was it because I had booked a cheap rate?
This continued at breakfast, the employee greeted me, made a tally, made 2 tally marks (for one person) but didn't say that I had to pay €25 for breakfast.
The room was good, a bit old-school, the only thing that bothered me was that you could clearly hear the doors closing in other rooms.

The Bad
The central reservations staff. It is becoming more and more common that central reservations do not do their job across a number of chain hotels and here they badly let down their hotel team and ourselves with our group visit. Tardy if ever replies to emails, sneaky hidden small print in contracts stating that rooms would only be serviced every other day! Why would anyone accept this? It's a false economy that can only resuly in customer dissatisfaction. It is bad enough for us to reconsider whether we would use this hotel again. This is such a shame as the hotel is really good. Middle management should give equal attention to client satisfaction as they do to cost savings and learn to reply to enquiries promptly.
The reception staff are variable: some are great and efficient others are scruffy and careless. If you are going to issue them with a uniform, make sure that they wear it smartly and represent the hotel well.
There is no car parking (but it is in central Leipzig) and coach parking is problematical.
The Good
Recently refurbished to a good standard
Good sized rooms
Great breakfast
Great location.
I would have loved to have given this hotel four stars but can not because of central reservations. Still they can be proud that they saved some money on not servicing client rooms. It is very frustrating to see what should be a fantastic hotel spoiled by offsite people who do not care

The Seaside Park hotel is located in a very central position, opposite the train station, a 5-minute walk from the city centre. It is generally a modern style structure which is very well maintained and this can be seen immediately upon entering. I found the room very nice and the bathroom comfortable, with a large shower. The room in the basement where breakfast is served is nice and I found it good. We only used this hotel for one night but I think I can easily recommend it for its location and comfort.

We don't understand any moaners. We really liked it. The reception was very nice and friendly. We really liked the rooms. Of course, breakfast was a good start to the day. The service staff did everything to make everyone happy. Although the breakfast room is quite small for the morning rush, we were able to have a very relaxed breakfast. It was delicious.

We came to the hotel a few days ago, although we had actually booked a different one, but it didn't offer a breakfast buffet. Luckily, the hotel we had booked before was part of the Seaside Hotel and we were offered an equivalent suite with a breakfast buffet. When we arrived at the hotel, we were immediately struck by the friendly service, who immediately offered us the opportunity to check in. The reception, the service and the location were more than excellent, the only drawback we personally had was that you couldn't lock the door in the junior suite. All in all, however, it is an absolutely recommendable hotel, we will definitely come back.

I keep losing track how many times I was already in this hotel for my WGT stay. The location is wonderful, easy access to public transportation, easy access to a good parking place to leave the car over Pfingsten, very helpful staff. I have already pre-booked for next years stay :)

Ich habe gestern dort übernachtet. 5 GB sind täglich im WLAN frei. Sollte reichen. Gutes Hotel, zentral gelegen, empfehlenswert.
