We stayed at Felix in June 10-13, 2023.
We had never been to Europe before so we were unsure how to navigate Germany at first. We took a taxi from the airport, it worked well, but now we know we could have easily taken the S5 or S5X to get there.
The apartment was lovely with a firm but comfortable bed. There was a large TV and we hooked up our firestick.
There was a fabulous view of the university and we were directly across from the opera house.
It was easy walking distance to the city center and Bachfest venues.
There was an Edeka grocery store around the corner. It had many American snacks as well. We bought eggs and produce there. It was really convenient!
There was a long bench under the window which was great for laying out all our things!
The kitchenette had a small fridge, two burners, and a microwave.
The bathroom had a bunch of shelves for all our stuff, which we used. The shampoo/body wash smelled so good. The shower has a hand held portion and was roomy for two.
We used the communal laundry room while we were there. It was set up to use the WeWash App and we found it easy to use.

Overall this property was perfect for our stay.

The Felix is the perfect base for a stay in Dresden. Our apartment was clean and modern with everything you could need. The staff were friendly and efficient and the bar is a lovely place for a cocktail or a beer. Many of the famous sites are right at the doorstep and there are plenty of restaurants, shops and supermarkets nearby. It’s an easy tram ride from the main station or a fairly quick walk if your bags are easy to carry.

Let's start with the good stuff. Nice breakfast, not a huge choice but what they have is very decent. The room very nice, very modern and urban.
On the downside we stayed on the 4th floor on the other side of the main hotel and it was not the easiest to find or to get around. Many guests asked me where to go for example as signs more or less non-existent. Coming back to the hotel at 2am was a mistake as could not get in from street for 10 mins - no info outside, key dis not work etc. luckily for 6 of us gathered a departing guest let us in. Also on one night told hotel bar was not available for hotel guests due to a private party in a rather direct way - no signs or warning of course beforehand.
I think this hotel likes to be a bit quirky but this can be irritating for some.

Hotel looks weird inside the reception is on the sixth floor but our room was on the 4th floor in another building with no elevator connection straight from the reception. We had to walk quite a bit to find our room with not much of an explanation from the staff. The bar wasn’t open to hotel guests because some company event which is pretty unusual I think. The reception staff wasn’t nice when we asked them about it.
Corridor was smelly, the room is small but clean and nice with not much view. I would not rush back here.

Very beautiful and equipped room with kitchen and a dishwasher too. Very central just opposite the Leipzig opera building and close to the city main attractions. Nice breakfast in a beautiful room. Very polite people.

A surprising and efficient use of space in our 2 bedder hotel. Well designed, good use of space which included a galley kitchen. Generous additions of amenities which is appreciated by travellers. Ease of access and proximity to trams and buses.

Try to find a hotel at 2am in the morning when they have no night manager. This hotel is located on the 6th floor of a commercial building. So the signage was non existent. And where does someone park? Lucky the hotel next door was able to assist.
We only stayed one night, so we were given a room down the other end of the hotel, which had to be a walk of around 150 meters through 3 fire doors. Oh, did I mention the steps your have to carry your bags up and down.
The bathroom was reasonable and clean but the main room was so small we had to go outside to change our minds.
You want a coffee at 3am, yes, there is a machine in your room, but that's an extra.
Probably good for a single traveler, without a car and no baggage, who arrives during daylight hours.

We stayed there for one night and were very surprised by the very spacious and pretty rooms! Very modern, industrial and minimalistic but nothing really missing! Just asked for some help with the tv and another lamp for reading which was done in less than 30 minutes. Only thing one could criticize is that the staff could be a little more welcoming and a little more motivated in general - they weren’t rude or anything - just imo - for a new but nice house like this, a little more ambition could be appreciated...maybe I am a little hard here but this should only serve as helpful advice. :-)
We will definitely come back.
