Hotel is central. On street parking outside on hard court is available payable at machine in no more than three hour slots 8am - 8pm. Helpful concierge will top-up if necessary. Large clean rooms. Sparse decor with everything necessary - one nice touch was linen foot mats by the bed. Not much signage in the hotel. Did not use the... More

Our room at Hotel Meran was very clean, modern, and spacious. It came even with a balcony and view over beautiful garden. We were pleasantly surprised. The bed was very comfortable too. The swimming, sauna and showers were also very nice, spotlessly clean and our primary reason for choosing this hotel. We were not disappointed. The price is quite reasonable... More

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for two nights. We were welcomed by one of the two elder gentleman. He was very friendly and very helpful in suggesting places to dine and walk around. We love the seventies design and furniture of the hotel. Our luxurious room was renovated with a nice new bed, closet, desk, ect. Yet... More

Spent a weekend shopping just across the border in France, visiting the World Heritage UNESCO site in Volklingen (a former steel mill) and stopping for the night in Saarbruecken. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip -- and the night at the Hotel Meran was great. Had a quick swim and sauna at the hotel before exploring the city in search of dinner.... More

We spent two weeks at the hotel as it was near the apartment where our son is living. During this time we were in two different rooms, a cheaper one and a more expensive one. Obviously, the more expensive one is the bigger and more comfortable one. It is a good deal for the money as the swimming pool is... More

In fact even with the window shut it was noisy with thin walls. You could hear people snoring The pool was too... More

The hotel is not very new, fancy, or modern, it's just a place to sleep and have a (mediocre) breakfast. The place is located near the city centre, everything is easily in walking distance, there are a lot of buildings with remarkable faces in the neighborhood, the area is certainly worrth visiting. Plus there are several restaurants (quite a lot... More

Simple but comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. Icing on the cake: great sauna and swimming pool with hydro massage, free of charge! I had a wonderful stay here (2 days). Excellent value for money, I definitely recommend it! For all those in search of an affordable good option

Was simply staying overnight, and usually at that price you'd get an old musty room, but it was a pleasant surprise. Although small (yet as expected), the room was functional and clean. I was at a corner of the building, so the Wifi was a bit iffy. There are very few parking spots in front of the hotel, so I... More

... There is for sure something better in the nearby, but the hotel seemed clean, big room, but a little cold. Even thoug there is a swimming pool, it is very old, the small cabbot very damaged ... To the hotel administrator: it is not a good presentation for the hotel to eat lasagne at the check in desk ...
