We took the advice of others and not only stayed here but ate here as well. As others have said it is a lovely little treasure outside Trier. The restaurant was good at a reasonable price. We were so pleasantly surprised with our stay here.

This is amongst the best on the road hotels we have stayed at. Situated just outside Trier, it was easy to find at the end of a long day. The buildings are modern, situated in nice grounds. Plenty of car parking. The beer garden would be great in summer. We had a family room, one could have held a fair... More

Hotel located in a pretty setting, with parking out the front, we needed our Navman to find it. Simple comfortable clean room, window opening. Lift available but not that many stairs really. Restaurant very enjoyable German fare, husband had the regional casserole, pork and vegetables with different sauces, he really enjoyed it, a large meal you need to be hungry.... More

We loved staying just outside Trier which was so peaceful after the bustling day in Trier. It is right across the Mosel 5 minutes away. There are white signs with the hotel name when you cross the bridge. The breakfast started at 0700 which we appreciated. The breakfast was delicious!

The room was comfortable, and quiet, had a good bathroom and a huge tv with lots of channels. Plenty of parking spaces in front of the hotel. You are not staying in Trier, but just outside it, on the other side of the Mosel river. The town is twenty minutes walking. Breakfast was sober but fine, and we had dinner... More

We overnighted at this 3 star superior hotel en-route to and on our return from Austria. We had a deluxe double room for €95 inclusive of a full breakfast. Both rooms were well furnished and the bathrooms had quality fittings and walk-in showers. The room on our return visit had a large patio which was not used due to the... More

To be able to reach this hotel you need to have the car, so the location is not the bestest. Upon checking in, they did not find my booking, even though I had my reservation confirmation. So its always good to check with the reception before the arrival, if all is settled. The place was very noisy, full of strange... More

Stadtwaldhotel is the perfect base for exploring Trier, the Mosel Valley, the Hunsruck, Luxembourg and the Saar Valley. The hotel is easy to find being only a short distance down the B51 from the Autobahn from Luxembourg and clearly signposted. We were so impressed that within an hour of arrival we had extended our planned stay! We had a large... More

We went there last December. It is true that when you enter the façade and the outside looks a bit old. However, once you enter things change. There you will find very friendly staff, clean and big rooms, very good quality for the price. It is located 200m from a P+R (place where you can park your car and take... More

Chosen since it was out of town, by the forest and had good reviews. Wasn't disappointed. Clean n tidy utilitarian room. Nothing fancy but had all that was required for a good nights kip. Has its own car park which was necessary for me. Oh yes, it's clearly popular since it was very busy. Thanks. Glad I walked to town.... More
