Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Stayed here for 2 nights in the gasthaus. Food was great fresh and cooked with care. Service was oké. The room was very warm. An airco or ventilator would be an great improvement. Breakfast was okay. Do not use the back off products but fresh from the backer the breakfast would be 4 stars. This is an ideal place to visit Koblenz. Just a short ride to the city.

the dinner was really good and the breakfast is good (typical German); the rooms were cold (seems they save by turning the heating down); the location is quite off, you need a car and the city center is far away - so might be good for a business overnight stay (unfortunately the WIFI did not work)

We stayed here for one night on the way to our holiday destination. Our family room was comfortable with good beds and a nice rain shower. We particularly enjoyed the restaurant, the summer garden, and the outside swimming-pool. The hotel offers free WiFi but it didn’t work for any of us. As it was very hot we really missed air conditioning in the room.

We had a stop-over enroute from the Alps to Northern Europe here. Wonderful refreshing swimming pool (not for swimming laps but sufficient for kids playing!), lovely summer garden for dining on a warm summer night and breakfast in line with expectations. Restaurant serves simple but good qualify food in large portions. The hotel was fully booked but despite this quite quiet. Also the choice of German/local wine is great. Several buildings adjoined to make up the hotel therefore many hallways, steps, etc. No airco in room but despite the heatwave, we could cool sufficiently with balcony doors open. You either love this or hate this (we loved it!). Limited parking, but is solved by reception however way. Pet Friendly! Near the city centre, but I very quiet suburbia area. All in all true value for money and we will be back.

The hotel was nice and cozy in a calm location. The personnel do not speak almost at all English but they are friendly and patient so the language was not a barrier. The food was excellent in the dinner and the breakfast was generous and tasty. I will definitely go back.

Nice family hotel with friendly staff. It has a nice pool on one side of the house and a nice garden where you can sit and eat or have something to drink on the other side. The food is is very good and it's good since there are not much else in the area. You can very easy take the bus into Koblenz. The bus goes every 30 minutes and the last bus back goes around 11 pm. So you can have a night out in Koblenz if you like. Please note that the staff speak very little English so basic knowledge of German is recommended.

This little gem of a hotel is located outside of the city and up a fairly steep hill. My wife and I use public transportation to travel Europe and when the bus dropped us of at the nearest stop, we were confused about how to get to this hotel. Even some of the locals couldn't help us. Were wondered around lugging our suitcases up and down the hills searching for it. Finally someone directed us to this wonderful Hotel and we were greeted with smiles and warm welcomes. It is a German hotel and restaurant and the staff doesn't speak much English, but my wife is a native speaker and that prevented any misunderstandings. The room was quiet, pleasant, clean and spacious. We stayed for 6 nights and ate almost every meal at the hotel. The food was very typically German and delicious. If you find the meals too large, as some restaurant now serve meals sized to feed a professional wrestler. This hotel restaurant also offers reduced size meals. The breakfast buffet provided an excellent variety of fresh foods with locs being one of my favorites. The purpose of our trip was to visit family who were at a nursing facility near by. We walked to and from the hotel daily and enjoyed the scenery and the walk very much. We were always glad to see the hotel in the evening as we looked forward to dinner and a good nights sleep.

Located outside the city. Own restaurant and nice beer garden. Room clean, bathroom dark and kind of used. Noisy train in the night so better close the window. Good breakfast in buffet style. Free parking.

We were in Koblenz for a wedding so we picked this hotel to stay overnight. We asked the owner if it was fine to check in at 12:00 PM because the wedding was at 2 o'clock and he said no problem. We there and the room was not ready yet, meaning that he gave us a room with dirty towels, dirty sheets but most of all dirty TOILET from previous people staying there. When we went back to the room in the afternoon the towels and the sheets were clean but the toilet was still DIRTY 😱! They are just amateurs .
