If you just want a no frills room and breakfast then I can't fault this hotel. Room 474 single room, smelt a bit but nothing that opening balcony door couldn't fix. Great value with simple breakfast thrown in. Would stay again.

I stayed at the Engelbertz Hotel twice before and the fact that I keep coming back, says it all: very good value for money. Decent room, very friendly staff. And most importantly: the hotel is situated in the middle of everything: christmas markets and shops, and very close to the train station. I'll gladly go back again.

Great find in the middle of Köln. Lots of shopping, restaurants, cafés, museums and more within walking distance. The Rhein is a short walk away, which is a great place for a picnic or boat tour. The staff is accommodating and friendly and speak English. Breakfast was included and had many options. Our room was wonderful: clean, spacious, and comfortable....

Hotel location perfect. Near Cathedral, restaurants, shoppings, markets. Hotel reception and service team support very nice. But rooms very old, Toilet and Bathroom is very small. Hotel has quite atmosphere.

Brilliantly located hotel... bang smack in the middle of the town, five minute walk from the train station, five minute walk from the river side, few minutes to the square where most the restaurants are and a minute from the shops...yet while there we weren't disturbed by noise. the rooms are basic but clean, comfortable and well cared for, reception...

Can't get a better location! Only 5 mins walk from the cathedral, main station and shopping areas. Hotel staff are very helpful. Breakfast is adequate and rooms are spacious and tidy, would definitely recommend!

Even though the hotel is rated with 2 stars, it is a great place to have a good sleep, a decent breakfast and explore the city. 1) The location is indeed awesome - 5 min walk from the central railway station, th Dom is right around the corner, so as the jewels of the alt stadt. 2) Reception staff was...

I was booked into this hotel by my employer. Not a place I would have chosen . Very small basic rooms and the slowest lift I have ever encountered. The staff were very helpful and friendly, so that helped take the sting away. Would I stay here again? Only if there were no better options in that area.

Good small hotel with comfortable rooms. Good place in the center of Cologne. Bit noisy, but it's ok in whole. Friendly staff. I was here due to business deals. Would recommend this place in case you are looking for simple hotel with not big cost.

A one night stay here was a pleasant experience. Front desk staff was friendly and attentive and the included breakfast was fresh and well done. Location is easy walking distance to lots of street front shopping and only a couple of minutes away from the local Christmas market.
