We needed a place close to the train station, since we only had an overnight in Cologne. This place could not be closer to the train station, when in the train station follow signs to Mc Donald, and it is just across the street. Room are alright, clean, basic, same for the bathroom. Breakfast was very good, and staff very...

This was a good hotel, albeit a bid noisy if you kept your windows open, but it was only right across the street from the train station and about a 8 minute walk to the Cathedral. All kinds of shopping and restaurants around the area and some night life (tho we didn't do any). The hotel staff were exceptionally pleasant,...

We only came across the Breslauer because of flight delays due to adverse weather conditions. On arriving at train station (1 minutes away), a train guard recommended it to us. I would imagine that is a good indication "local knowledge". The room was clean and comfortable, all we needed. The breakfast is continental style. There are two computers in the...

We had a three bedded room with views over the station and cathedral. Staff were welcoming and extremely helpful with local knowledge; the lobby had 2 computers offering free high-speed internet access for guests. Extremely clean rooms, with comfortable mattresses and a powerful shower. Breakfast was about average (meat and cheese out of packets, plentiful coffee). The hotel was convenient...

We will now consider this our Cologne Home in the future. The location is perfect, the receptionist spoke perfect English and was helpful beyond belief! Even wrote a note for our car windshield for parking in front. The rooms are not large, but very clean and comfortable. We had a rear-facing room, which was very quiet. Indeed, the elevator is...

This was my second time staying at the Breslauer Hof am Dom - I posted a review after spending 4 nights there in December 2008 - and I'm still a satisfied guest. We had a twin room this time, a very comfortable, very clean room; the bathroom was smaller than the one in the triple room, yet perfectly functional. The...

This hotel is only a few minutes walk from the main station. It has free internet and the buffet breakfast is adequate.Reception is friendly and yes it does have the world's smallest lift! I asked for a quiet room and so did not face the street but a courtyard. Unfortunately, the noise comes from the corridor as the walls are not...

I arrived in Cologne after a lengthy railway journey with several changes, interrupted by a key cancellation which caused stress and anxiety. It was therefore an immense relief to me to discover that the hotel was literally only a few metres away from Koln Hauptbahnhof and that the receptionist was a professional guy who spoke excellent and faultless English thus...

Great Location. Very near to the Koln Train station about 5-10mins walk. Its true that the lift is small. But who cares!! Room was very clean and well kept. Nothing fancy but a good hotel to stay for 2-3 nights. Breakfast was fairly simple. Stayed a total of 3 nights. The staff on the first and last day was very...
