In a quiet street just five minutes on foot from the main station is the Hotel Domstern, with its unassuming exterior. Inside, it is all charm, with a very cozy lobby and exquisitely decorated rooms. Cristian, fluent in both English and German, checked us in and provided us with so much information on the attractions of Cologne. Service was very...

The standards at Hotel Domstern maintain their high level and with more room refurbishments planned this friendly, clean & centrally positioned small & intimate hotel will only keep delivering. As others have mentioned the breakfasts are amazing. Talking of food do check out the Tea Box Thai restaurant 5 minutes walk as you turn right from Domstern.

Welcoming hotel when we arrived early on Friday. Could leave our bags until check-in later and the room was lovely. We had paid for a superior room, well worth the small extra charge and was on the second floor away from the main road. Breakfast was a delight, good quality and selection. Hotel is a bit quirky with furniture which...

I booked this based in the reviews and have not been disappointed. We had a good sized room with an amazing bathroom and comfy beds. The breakfast is really good. We had omelette freshly made and bread and cheese. There is a great choice. The hotel is brilliantly located and is an excellent choice for a stay in Cologne.

The fundamentals are all there: a reasonably priced hotel five minutes' walk from the Train station, the Dom, and one of the best antiquities museums in the world; reliable wifi; well insulated against noise. What really stands out are two things; 1) Fantastic, diverse breakfast buffet, with choices for every taste, with espresso drinks and eggs served to order; 2)...

We stayed in the large room with our two kids on the fold out bed and it was lovely. We arrived early and the staff made efforts to get us into our room as soon as possible. We loved the breakfast buffet full of cute portions of yummy items, from gourmet cheese to lox and little pots of fruit parfait...

We really enjoyed our stay here, and will definitely be recommending it! We were originally booked for two nights, but I caught a cold and didn't feel up to packing up and moving to Frankfurt for our last night in Germany, and the hotel staff were more than happy to change our booking and let us stay another night. The...

The hotel is in a great location, on a quiet street a stone's throw away from the main station and 10 minutes on foot to the Cathedral. The rooms are smallish but perfectly clean and well-equipped with TV, fridge, safe and free wifi. The shower is great. The best thing of all is the excellent breakfast with attentive, personalized service...
