We just needed somewhere to rest our heads after sightseeing and it is a great hotel to do just that. The very central location makes it a great place to stay it is very lively and interesting place and lots of good pubs at night, I would return here if ever im in Cologne again.

Small room but very good price/performance ratio. Room a bit too warm, but calm (towards court); excellent and friendly service, great location with little streets and plenty of nice bars arouns, onlys some steps away from the Rhein river...

Loved the location. We had a double room, which was big enough for the two of is. The shower and sink was open to the room, which was different, but we managed. The toilet however was down the hall and shared with every room on the floor, since there was only one other person on our floor it was fine,...

It's one of those hotels that are hard to rate without an explanation.The original lower half of the building was built around 1235 and escaped the WW2 bombing. The wooden floors creak every step, the stairwell smells of something dodgy, there are 2 showers to share amongst people over 5 floors (although only 1 room on the 5th floor and...

Bad smell in the room and in the common areas of the hotel. Super narrow and basic room, like jail. Very poor breakfast and worst of all a LITTLE MOUSE ranking on the pavement of the breakfast room!!! Great location in Altstadt right on the Rhine and in walking distance of the Dom and all the Xmas markets.loads of bars and restaurants nearby.Basic but comfortable room (single) on the 1st floor.breakfast as I would expect in a German hotel perfectly adequate I will definitely stay here again!

“Was in room 23, 2nd floor overlooking the waterfront. It was noisy with the window open with hundreds of tables and people outside, especially on the weekend. Can't fault the view though.”
