I spent there more than one month in August-September 2015, and found its location very convenient - it's close to shopping malls, grocery stores and restaurants, but far enough from them not to be disturbed by outside noise at night. Speaking of noise, the walls in the hotel are thin, and you can often hear talks and noises from other... More

For this price I have booked quite excellent, New design hotels. This hotel is old, has small outdated rooms. Little beds, worn pillows, rough and old sheets on the bed + towels. The rooms were clean although and the owner quite friendly. So we are not impressed at all.

Friendly staff and welcoming greeting. The rooms are a little small but they offer free WIFI and a great breakfast is included in the room price. The quilts are a little small but in a double (single bedded room) you can use 2 quilts and as a single guest this will keep you nice and warm. I'd looking forward to... More

We have stayed at this family-owned hotel several times over the years....we have never been disappointed. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and very affordable. The service is excellent...always helpful and always with a smile!! The breakfast is great with a variety of hot and cold foods to choose from. This hotel is in walking distant to all shops and... We travel to Europe every few years and I always look for small hotels with friendly staff. Hotel Ostmeier met all our expectations. The facilities are comfortable, spotlessly clean, and the owners and staff are so gracious. We all felt very "at home". Breakfast each morning was plentiful, varied and delicious. Thank you so much!

I must say that the stay was great. The owner and the entire family were great and helpful. We stayed for two nights during the weekend and we were on the side to the main road - it was not noisy at all because I slept like a baby the entire time. So thanks again for all the help and... More

The hotel was wonderful for the price and they had alot of great facilities like the pool and sauna. The place was VERY clean!!! They put on a delicious breakfast. We had an issue with the 'restaurant', its hardly ever open and when we did get to eat there they didn't have half the things on the menu (there are... More

We visit Bochum fairly often and after a horrible experience at the Ibis behind the railway station where even the non-smoker floors had ash trays and people were smoking (bed sheets smelled too), we were so happy to find a hotel where smoking was entirely banned! WIFI was included AND working! The staff behind the reception was very kind and... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 niights and just loved it. Everyone was very friendly and the morning breakfast was great. We were very close to restaurants, bus line and the train station. No air and front rooms facing street were nosey with windows open. Looking forward to staying there again.

If you are going to the Ruhr triennale, this is a good location. About 10 minutes walk. I was here in Bochum and it was very hot. Compared to other hotels, this one had airconditioning. I was happy. The staff are very helpful and easy going. The breakfast was good. There are a lot of times when the desk is... More
