Fantastic hotel with a well-equipped gym and a wonderful breakfast buffet that even has fresh vegetables next to a juicer to make your own freshly squezed juice. Pleasant staff, great room, many thoughtful touches that help us live more sustainably (e.g. Nespresso machine with sustainable - not aluminium - pods)

The hotel is located in walking distance from the main train station, along a quieter street; there is quite a number and range of restaurants in walking distance, too.

A Corona regime has been set up in the lobby, separating different people flows; reception was friendly and efficient.

The rooms are stylish and have a good size, with a little lounge and a desk. If you get a room on the upper floors and the ‘back’ side of the building (the other just looks at the back of the Intercontinental) you get a great view over Frankfurt – there is a reason why the beds are facing the windows (see photo)…

The quality of the beds is ok, but nothing to write home about; only one pillow type is provided. Note that there is a risk of falling / tripping, due to a step between the beds and the rest of the room.

Considering the location, it is reasonably quiet at night – but you do hear the nearby streets if you keep the window open. The windows can be darkened (opaque curtain), but due to a lacking skirting it does not stay completely dark (but at an acceptable level).

The bathroom sports a spacious shower and a wide wash-hand basin, but is still somewhat too small for two people using it at the same time. Good hairdryer, shaving / make-up mirror mounted far too low to use.

The (free) WiFi worked reasonably well; as an ‘added extra’, there is a free minibar (even with a snack) – discount that from the room rate…

Overall a nice stay – I would come again.

Great location - close to Hauptbanhof, great view on the city (skyscapers), love the minibar that was included in the price. Nice gym, very tasty breakfast, super comfortable bed . Definifitely staying again.

I love the fact that in the bathroom, the shampoo, shower gel and body lotion was provided but the body lotion was old in the bottle as it stinked. This should be changed more frequent. Apart from this everything was great Please make scrambled eggs without milk to make them lactodfree.

This is by far the worst stay I have ever had in any hotel.

The arrival was not smooth. Early check-in is supposed to be complimentary if you sign up for the membership, but the receptionist tried to charge 15 euro extra, and gave up after we showed him the email confirmation.

Room has a muffy smell. The AC does not work and produces immense noise when running (sounds like a broken ventilation). This was critical, as the outside temperature was 32 degrees and having an AC was essential for us.

The bathroom has a leak in the plumbing which produces a bad smell every time the water is running.

The shower leaks water all over the place while taking a shower.

The curtains don't close fully, and allow light to enter the room.

But most importantly, the bed is on a platform and you have to go over a step to go down. This led me to falling in the night when trying to go the bathroom and injuring my back (to the point of bleeding for a couple of hours) on the very sharp table behind the bed.

For 130 +39 € per day for parking, I would expect a better service.

The only good thing I can write about this hotel is that the sheets were clean, the headboard had multiple dsrk spots, probably from spilled drinks from previous guests.

Please find a different spot.

Response from Nadine Westermilies, Marketing at Scandic Frankfurt Museumsufer
Responded 17 Aug 2022
Hej dear guest, Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to share your feedback. Although we are happy that you were satisfied with the cleanliness of our sheets, it is a shame to read that we did not meet your expectations and that various issues negatively impacted your stay. First of all, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience that occured during your check-in. Early check-in is usually free when the booking was made directly through our website and when the room is available early. There is only a fee of €15.00 if you book through a third-party provider. We already discussed this matter with our reception team in order to improve our check-in process and to avoid such situations in the future. We also regret that your room did not smell as fresh as it should have and we will make sure to get the explained issue in the bathroom checked by experts immediately. Also for the fact that the operation of the climate control has caused difficulties for you, we would like to apologize. Our climate control, which cools with cold water pipes in order to be environmentally friendly, is able to cool down the temperature 8° degrees from the outside temperature. In the colder months however, the room temperature can be raised to 19-25° degrees Celsius through district heating. If you have a problem like this again, please do not hesitate to contact our reception team and they will be pleased to help you. Furthermore, we also regret that you did not have a comfortable sleep and even hurt yourself during the night. Please be assured that we take your feedback very serious. Next time please feel free to contact our reception team if you feel uncomfortable with certain things so that we can do our best to improve your stay. Last but not least, it is a shame that the parking costs have led to an impairment of the quality of your stay. The costs of our car park correspond to those of other car parks in Frankfurt and are therefore in line with the market. Thanks to the central location of our hotel, it is also possible to explore the city on foot or by public transport. We would love to welcome you again and to prove better service next time. Best regards Konstanze Junkermann – General Manager

We stayed at this hotel twice: in July and in September 2022. And it feels as two pretty different stays. In July there was not so much people stayed in the hotel, so, booking was easya and cheap, but in September there were a lot of people making business trips, so the hotel was full and the price was 4 times higher as in July. So, pay attention to the season.

Overall stay I can describe as good. Yes, this hotel is not new, you can feel some old stuff in interriors. The room is quite small. If you can get a room on the higher floors, you will also get a nice view to the Frankfurt skyline, which is nice.

The breakfast is really nice. Dining room is placed on the first floor and consumes two floors, so, you drink you coffee in wide space, open, well lightened place with well designed interriors. Menu on the breakast is as usual in German restaurants: bread, omlet, sousages and so on, nothing special.

The indoor parking is placed just across the street, and you can easily reach hotel via underground tunnel.

Overall everything was ok. This hotel is good if you need to stay in Frankfurt for your flight.

The room was compact , main feature was the bed facing the window, so you could admire the view from the 16th floor. The bed was too soft for our liking, and only one blanket, but the size was ample. There was also a desk and a coffee machine (capsule) and a fridge bar included in the rate. The bathroom was modern, the shower was fabulous, soft but with power, The breakfeast buffet had all you neeeded, iincluding vegan und gluten free. The staff were pleasant and friendly. Parking is dificult - the nearest (under the hotel) is very dear, and a cheaper alternative down the road, was fully booked (perhaps because it was Saturday night). The restaurant and bar were not open (due to Covid) but in the area there are plenty of eateries, and a short stroll away from the footbridge over the river Main.

We had never stayed in a Scandic Hotel before and did not know what to expect. We chose the hotel as it is ideally located for the museums. It was good value for money and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We were pleasantly surprised as this is not always the case with even 5 star hotels in many countries.
We would certainly try Scandic Hotels in other cities.

My research paid off, our stay at the Scandic Franfurt Museumsufer was great, no compliants. The hotel was well located for our needs, within walking distance from the train station, Altstadt, museums and the Main River. Check-in was quick and easy; I booked a superior room with city views which included daily breakfast and minibar supplies, the room was as seen online. The bathroom was neat and clean but showing signs of age. Not one sound was heard from adjoining rooms or corridors probably because the air-conditioning was noisy enough to block out these sounds, a peaceful sleep was had. The bed was very comfortable, curtains blocked out sufficient light to darken the room. WIFI was good. Breakfast was the highlight each morning, thoroughly enjoyable in the very pleasant dining room. There was an extensive selection of cereals, breads, pastries, yoghurts. fruit, cheese, cold cuts, hot food, and staff were on hand to assist if you couldn't locate items. I missed having an espresso, not the same drinking an espresso out of a mug. I would stay here again and highly recommend to my family and friends, loved the location. Frankfurt was a fun city to discover on foot.

We had our room in the 16th floor. With a panoramic view over the skyline of Frankfurt. Minibar was inclusive, the dinner in the hotel's own restaurant is too expensive and you don't have such a big choice what to eat. We didn't take breakfast here. Parking is not available from the hotel. You need to park on the street or get to the parking house and pay 40 € each day.

I'm sure it was 6:30 also but as advised above probably safer to contact them directly to make sure. The room service is 24 hours and there is also a small shop in reception where you could by sandwiches etc in the event that you were leaving early.
