We chose this hotel because it was close to the central station, and many of the city's attractions. The area is a horror, it has become the city's ghetto (drug addicts, pickpockets, solemn beggars). The hotel is very simple, nothing like 4 stars, in Spain it would be 3 at most. Large rooms, and correct bathrooms. They don't have air conditioning and we had hot days, so the rooms had a small fan that made a lot of noise. The reception closes at 11:00 p.m.

The hotel provides good service at the front desk. The rooms are spacious and the cleanliness is good and daily. The location is great. Very close to the Central Train Station and a few minutes walk from the Attraction Centres of the city. It should be noted that if you go in summer and / or hot seasons you will suffer from it since the rooms lack air conditioning and the fan they possess is desk, that is, it does not enough to refresh the room. That is the detail you should consider when choosing Hotel Memphis Frankfurt.

Good location, next to the new opera and the financial district.
We were able to park at the hotel, although there are only about 5 places, so probably not everyone will get so lucky.
There is no air conditioning, the building is old and our room was overlooking the main street with the tram. Hot and noisy at the same time.
Hotel staff were not friendly.

The room has no ventilation. It stinks from the kebab shop downstairs. You can choose between sweating while sleeping or kebab fat stench. It has a small lift. In the morning you wait until he finally comes. At breakfast I took a slice of bread, this was mouldy. I went to the kitchen with it, it was disposed of without comment. The other discs stayed there.

Close to the train station, it's a good and cheap hotel for a short stay because the trains to the airport go even at night. Rather clean room, polite stuff. Ask the room facing the yard because it's situated on the pretty noisy street. Also not safe, especially at night. Many homeless people wandering around, extremely dirty surrounding.

The hotel is a big dated, nothing fancy. No kettle and cups. Just wine glasses and fridge.
The room was very warm and the beds are very comfortable and cleaned every day.
The area was a bit noisy at night and wasn't the best of areas but close to train station.
Lots of beggars and people sleeping in the streets, spent most of our time at the markets.

Booked this place as location was close to from where we had train to catch. Location is at premium but neighborhood is dodgy. Safety concern made us have an early supper and cloistered inside cold dingy room. Premium guests would stay here once neighborhood becomes inviting.

I booked through the internet as a four star hotel BUT unfortunately was DIRTY! DIRTY! DIRTY! and unkempt.
I don't know what to refer primarily ... maybe the noise that could be heard outside ...... the awful smell in the room ... terrible towels, bathroom dirty, dust everywhere, dirty windows, dirty walls, broken mirror. The air conditioning :) was represented by an old fan placed in the closet.
Finally I can say is stay away!

The reviews for this hotel are somewhat mixed and I can understand why. I’ve just returned from 2 nights in Frankfurt and we stayed at The Memphis Hotel.
Firstly getting there is quite easy, it’s a ten minute walk from the main train station and it’s actually on a tram line. So if you’ve a few bags you can grab a tram and it drops you quite close by. The reception area is small, but functional with a small bar and a restaurant at the back from breakfast. I was greeted by a warm friendly girl, check in was quick and I was in the room within about five minutes of arriving.
The room is small and basic, but again functional. Bathroom is quite large for the size of the room and has everything you need. Room is equipped with everything you need, TV, clock radio, safe, fridge and plenty of closet space.
The only drawback from our stay, were the pillows. The beds were quite soft, which I didn’t mind and got a good enough sleep. However I swear the pillows are made of marsh mallows, there’s absolutely no support in them at all. As soon as you put your head on them, you sink into them and not in a good way.
We were in Frankfurt for The Christmas markets and the hotel is well situated to get to them quite quickly, either a ten minute walk or even shorter by tram. The main shopping area of Frankfurt is about a fifteen minute walk away too.
Would I recommend this hotel to a friend, yes I would. It’s functional, well located and serves its purpose.
A piece of advice in relation to Frankfurt, if flying in, DO NOT fly to Frankfurt-Hahn. The airport itself is fine and the flight was good value (Ryanair), but it’s about 130km away from Frankfurt, about a two hour bus journey (€30 return). On the way back our flight was at 13:30, so we planned to take a bus at 10:00, but the only buses available were 08:30 & 11:00, so we had to take the 08:30 bus, which meant we had some time to while away at a regional airport.
