It doesn't matter what you take off with, you'll always land well at the MEININGER Hotel Frankfurt/Main Airport. The modern airport hotel is located at Gateway Gardens, only a short walk from Terminal 2. The entire hotel down to the 168 rooms is playfully themed "The Golden Age of Travel". An overnight stay at the airport has never been cheaper. Our rooms are professionally cleaned and disinfected before every arrival. Please note: with our initiative "Mindful by nature" your room is only being cleaned upon request during your stay. If you wish to have your room cleaned, simply let us know at reception. Shared rooms are being cleaned daily.

Good location to the airport, as it is about 5 minutes from the airport. So you can also walk there. Cleanliness is good. Shuttle available, costs 6 euros per person. With the window open you can of course hear the planes and the highway, but earplugs help. Rooms are very small, as is the bathroom. Of course, more space to open suitcases would not be bad. Since you usually only stay here the night before the flight anyway, the size is quite sufficient. I wouldn't want to stay here for several nights. We would stay here again. This is the second time we have stayed at the hotel.

Our flight arrived at 7 am, so we were at the airport by 8. The rude woman at the front desk was adamant and arrogant that we'd have to wait until 3 pm to check in, and that an early check-in was impossible. Shortly thereafter, we asked the kind gentleman at the desk, and he invited us to have breakfast and said we could check in early for only 15 Euros, including breakfast. We graciously and gratefully accepted. There is no reason why the woman had to be so insufferably unkind. An airport hotel needs to be flexible and accommodating for travelers arriving at all hours. There is no A/C and the only way to cool down is to open the window, which means inhaling airport fumes and subjecting yourself to noise. The shower is awkward to get in and out of, and there is little space to put luggage, which is necessary in an airport hotel. The breakfast buffet is included and is acceptable. The shuttle bus is free from the airport to the hotel, but is 6 Euros from the hotel to the airport. We took an Uber instead.

Group of 4 people visited here to attend the Frankfurt motor show. As airport hotels go this was good! Great access to the motor show, great bar that stayed open late and offered good drinks at reasonable prices. Food available during the day but also vending machines at night, 24hr reception. Clean, tidy, spacious rooms.

We stayed here on our flight home to Canada. The hotel was adjacent to Frankfurt international airport.it was a €10 cost by taxi, to the departure gate the following morning. The hotel also offered a shuttle service for €3.50 per person. Although the hotel does not have a restaurant there is a holiday inn right across the quiet street that has a full restaurant. Hotel was very clean although the rooms a extremely small. We did not hear any aircraft noise while staying there. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Despite almost daily emails reminding me of my upcoming reservation, there was no mention made that the hotel no longer has an airport shuttle ( as it had the last time I visited ). I ended up standing more than an hour by the hotel shuttles sign at the airport that still lists the Meininger. The taxi between the airport and the hotel costs just over ten Euros. It would be important to include this twenty Euro cost when comparing room rates at other airport hotels. Also, because the rooms have no telephone, it was not possible to receive a wake-up call in the morning. This was an unsatisfactory experience.

Unfortunately Meininger Hotel at Frankfurt airport is not a family-friendly hotel.
We stayed one night on march 29th. Months before our arrival I personally contacted the hotel by phone and asked to have a baby crib in the room for our 8 months son. Once we arrived there we found a broken baby crib in the room. I notified this right away to the reception. I’ve been told that they had another baby crib but it was broken too. So in the whole hotel there are two baby cribs and both broken (!). First they suggested we could keep our baby to sleep with us in the bed, not taking in account how dangerous that is, then they offered as compensation free breakfast: our reservation included already breakfast. So they offered us a free drink from the bar as compensation, but honestly I don’t feel like to exchange the safety of my son for a drink. At that point we asked for a discount as symbolic gesture but we have categorically been told that it was out of discussion.
Last but not the least, the following morning the cleaner came to our room before 8 am.

Is it a hostel? Is it a hotel? Perhaps it’s suppose to be a bit of both but what really matters is that it’s comfortable, safe, and damn close to the airport as well as trains to get to the city.
Not where I’d suggest for fun community vibes like some of their other properties or a great after meeting bar to see people mingling at but the staff is wonderful, there’s enough of a lobby to hang out for a bit and move on.
My room was perfect for the usual prices. Not particularly big but a nice bed, enough space to put things without having to climb over them (and I’m not small), outlets all over. Bathroom was pretty tiny but well done, other than the basic towels.
There’s not a lot right by the place. An Italian restaurant I strongly suggest, a grocery store, a little bar downstairs and they do a nice breakfast buffet in the morning.

The rooms were large, including the kitchen. The location to the airport was very good. The breakfast was also very plentiful. The best way to get to the airport is by taxi, which costs around 10 euros. For the location close to the airport, it was also very quiet.

I really enjoyed my stay at Meininger Hotel at Frankfurt Airport. The location is unbeatable – just a few minutes from the terminal and ideal for travellers looking for comfortable accommodation before or after a flight. The shuttle service to the airport is very convenient and works smoothly.
The room was modern, clean and comfortable. Especially the soundproof windows are a big plus, because despite the proximity to the airport it was pleasantly quiet in the room. The bed was comfy and I could recover well before my trip.
The staff was friendly and helpful, both at check-in and with questions about my stay. I particularly liked the lounge area and the possibility to buy small snacks or drinks.
The price-performance ratio is really top, especially considering the location and equipment. I can highly recommend the Meininger Hotel and will gladly stay here again on my next trip from Frankfurt!

Hi, When you exit T1, turn left and head to where the sign says "Hotel Shuttle". It is actually located half way down the wide pavement separating the two roads between T1 and T2.
The single deck Coach (bus) is a large white one that serves a number of hotels. The only way to see the hotel name is to look along the side where passenger embark/disembark. It passes every 30 minutes. On arrival at the hotel, the driver calls out the hotel names. It is only 10 minutes way.
There are more places to choose from in the Frankfurt area.
