Had a suite over 2 floors on the 23rd floor with breathtaking views of the Frankfurt skyline. The room was spacious and basically corresponded to a 4-star hotel. From the outside, the hotel does not make a very welcoming impression.
The reception was fine, but would have preferred a reception in German. Since the room was still freezing cold in the evening, I could switch to another room where the heating worked. The first solution was at the reception, I should just take a blanket.......I found that brazen.
The hotel bar was not staffed on the day of arrival, although the hotel was almost fully booked.
Breakfast was first class and left nothing to be desired.
Although I have asked for cotton swabs, a nail file and make-up pads several times, I did not receive them until departure. The mineral water in the room is a very good service of the house. The wellness area was permanently closed. There was no intermediate cleaning of the room.

From the outside, the hotel does not look very inviting due to the renovation work that has been going on for a long time in the outdoor area.
The reception was very friendly and humorous.

My room was on the 23rd floor with a breathtaking view of the Frankfurt skyline. The room was spacious and corresponded to a 4-star hotel.
Disadvantage: There was a normal door to the room next door, which unfortunately meant that I had to hear the conversation and all the noises from the neighboring room. But that's fine.

Unfortunately, the hotel bar closes very early and the sports bar didn't even open; even though it was Saturday and the hotel was fully booked.
Luckily, there are enough parking spaces outside, as the underground car park is not recommended.

The breakfast was first class and left nothing to be desired.

We spent in Leonardo Royal 3 nights during exhibition on Frankfurt Show. We were acommodated on 23rd from 25 floors. From balcony we had great view over the Franfurt and it compensated some minor imperfections.
In modern breakfest room was comprehensive choice of meals, breads, yoghurts, cookies, etc.
Lifts were fast despite of numbers of rooms.
Staff wery hepfull.

The Leonardo Royal is in a prime location in Sachsenhausen South, on the Sachsenhäuser Berg. It is on the edge of the city center, so it takes about 10 minutes by bus to get to the banks of the Main. On the other side, you can take a short walk and you are in the local recreation area, the city forest.
The Goethe Tower is also just a stone's throw away. The Leonardo Royal has 25 floors in a prominent location on the mountain, from which you can already enjoy a view of the city, but this is only enhanced the higher the room is. I was on the 24th floor and I have to say the view was breathtaking. I could see across the skyline, for miles to the Taunus, and the skyscrapers appeared in a completely different light from this perspective. From a worm's perspective, they are colossal, but from up there they look more like wax crayons stuck in the ground. That is a real highlight. The room itself was flawless. It included two box-spring double beds, a TV with 150 channels and a table with the coffee machine on it. The water bottle, glass in a beautiful design and the coffee capsules were refilled or changed by housekeeping as needed. The interior design is dignified and classically neutral so that everyone can feel comfortable. The corporate identity is reflected in the corridors, the name says it all and so the pictures and carpets are designed in the style of Leonardo da Vinci's works. Finally, praise for the staff. They are friendly, helpful and take care of any concerns immediately. I was completely satisfied with my stay and would be happy to book again if necessary.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in March. The hotel was amazing. It was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. The reception area is lovely, the rooms are huge, balcony, big bathroom, huge room, mini fridge, hairdryer , and so much more they were very clean and cleaners came in every day even though we were only there for 2 nights.
The facilities at this hotel were brilliant, restaurant, bar, sports bar, gym and sauna steam room and lots more. They will also store your luggage if you have checked out your room.
Location is great if your staying in Frankfurt, you could walk to Main attractions but quite far we used the bus to get there which was only about 5/10 minutes and was very frequent
The final details of this hotel and the little bits too is what makes it great.
The only criticism is the staff could of been a little bit more friendly
Overall I would definitely stay here again and recommend .

I stayed at the Leonardo Royal Hotel on the occasion of a conference in Frankfurt, and I can say I was definitely satisfied, as was the entire group I managed.
The hotel is located outside the city center, but it is very well connected thanks to bus lines that run frequently and whose stop is right in front of the hotel. The area is quiet and you are surrounded by greenery.
The common areas are spacious and welcoming, and the front desk is always willing to accommodate requests with kindness.
The breakfast buffet is plentiful, and you can always find a seat without facing any queues, although the hotel has plenty of guest rooms.
A very special note of appreciation to Christian Müller and Mohmand, who took care of my group's dinner with dedication and great helpfulness, considering the evening's flight delays, and to Jasenka, who, in a very professional and friendly manner at the same time, attends to the customers in the Leo Bar accessed from the lobby.
I would like to thank all the staff again for their friendliness and sense of hospitality, and I look forward to visiting the Leonardo Royal Hotel Frankfurt again in the future!

Excellent value for money. The rooms are huge, comfortable, and very well equipped. Everything was impeccably clean. The office area in particular is very helpful and enjoyable for guests who need to work - especially with the fine, complementary fizzy water. The staff is very helpful and went out of their way to assist me. Also, the gym and sauna are good and were very clean. I definitely intend to stay again here many times!

Pros.

Complimentary shower soap / shampoo was nice.
English style pub bar downstairs was nice
Man on reception was freindly
Two large beds in twin room wich was unusual

Cons.

.€24 euros to park overnight be it ourside or in the parking garage.

. Strong smell of sewers around entrance to hotel

. Carpet in room absolutly filthy and 0 effort made to clean.

. Swivel table covered in crumbs and dust

. Bed was made but had excessive hairs inside (not just the usual expected from the maids themselfs)

. Coffee machine dirty / mouldy around the clean water tank exit.

. Fridge smelly and dirty

. Carpet needed vacuum

. sink backs up water

. Dangerous electrical connection with tape dangling below bathroom mirror above sink

. Shower temperature increased to scalding levels when pre set ( lack of cold water pressure causing mixer to only supply hot)

. Various light bulbs flashing or not working in public areas.

. Very loud noise like an amplified coffee machine coming from the air conditioning unit every 15 minuets.

. Damaged fixtures and fittings in public areas

. Strange whiring noise coming from lobby area on room floor

. Man working the bar shouted and argued with a customer in full view of other customers. Very awkward situation to see bad impression of customer service.

This hotel needs shutting down for remodernisation it has fallen way below expectations of a 'royal' hotel.

Had a late check in and phoned in advance, told not to worry that reception was 24 hours, and arrived at 9.30pm
A very nice young man started the booking in process and explained all the facilities available.
I explained I had been travelling for the 14 hours and was looking forward to a nice room and sleep.
I was upgraded to the executive rooms on the 27th Floor.
Room was large and spacious, flat screen TV, fridge and both.
Breakfast was buffet style and offering a wide range of options, and everything was well presented and hot.
One thing for UK / Ireland visitors bring your own Teabags!!! .
Reason for 4 out of 5 is no Iron in room.

I caught a taxi from the airport and it cost 40 Euros, the station closest to the hotel is called Lokalbanhof, across the road from the station is the bus stop and the buses are fairly regular. When you get onto the bus ask the driver if he is going to Leonardo Royal Hotel, they are very helpful, because if you get on the wrong bus you have a problem. The bus stop is right outside the Leonardo Royal Hotel. To catch a train from the airport you would have to catch the S8 /S9 in the direction of Hanau get off at Konstablerwache or Haupwache and change over to one going to Frankfurt Sud S5 for S6, or S3 to Darmstadt - they all go through Lokalbanhof. Good luck and enjoy.
