On the plus side, the hotel is located right across the street of the Taunus forest, where you can take longwalks and also a nice quite nature walk into the centre of Bad Vilbel. The bathroom was pretty nice, it included a bidet. The lobby and bar area looked quite modern and was comfortable. On the down side: we arrived... More

Stayed one night only. This place is trapped in the 90s. The room was large enough but the furniture was outdated. They appear to have remodeled the bathroom as it was not matching the room. The bed was too soft for my liking. The service was professional. Don't expect much for the price you pay. Ok for a short stay.

This is an excellent hotel. I booked this for an unbelievably low price. Looks very good, service is good, room is very good. Free parking is limited. If the free parking is full, you can either park somewhere in the area around the hotel (for free) or in the parking garage (paid). If you come before 6:00 PM there is... More

We checked in late and was greeted warmly at the reception. The staff spoke english and was very friendly. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We stayed for 4 days and liked it so well, we have booked for another week. There is a Lidl next door for shopping and round the corner a bakery. In walking distance is... More

The City Hotel is located up the hill from the township in what seems to be a residential and car repair part of Bad Vilbel. This presents you with a walk down the hill for your meals and then a walk back up the hill when you are full. There is, however, a Lidl right next door for those who... More

We were visiting family in a nearby village and our usual hotel was full so we tried the City Hotel in Bad Vilbel. What a find! We only slept there but our room was large with a lovely bathroom with walk in shower. Bed was comfortable enough, a little soft for us but perfectly OK. Usual style of to 3... More

This hotel is very bad in multiple ways. It's in the middle of nowhere; there literally isn't even any place to eat in walking distance. At least there is a bus stop into town right across the street. And the hotel restaurant was good. The room is functional enough. There are very few lights which are all dim. My room,... More

Happened across this place looking for a reasonably priced place with a good level of comfort and facilities. This hotel was superb. The room was well appointed and adjacent to the spa facilities with a steam room and sauna.

If you don't want to pay central Frankfurt prices then this is well worth considering. I've worked in Bad Vilbel a number of times and this has worked very well. Very reasonable prices and its quite well equipped too. Not a palace but it does the job
